You have got to be fucking kidding me, they're not even trying to hide it anymore, just take as much off the tax payer as we can and then we'll fuck off! Of course they know they are out so are filling their boots Or perhaps Infosys are the best equipped to provide the national alarm service and maybe they were the best value for money. Who knows but let’s not allow economics get in the way of wild speculation.

What on earth does UK 'severely limited' mean? Oh hang on ... Yes James Stupidley is severely limited .... in Brain Cells, but at least not on a sun lounger in Greece Global Britain at its finest Ex Prime Minister unsure if France is Friend or Foe Were there any horses left behind? Has anybody slating the government over the Sudan evacuation ever been involved in the rescue and evacuation of civilians in war torn countries? Didn’t think so. Having been involved in 2, Cyprus and Grenada, all I can say is that it isn’t a black & white task and media speculation that civilians have been abandoned by our government only serves to make the rescuers task even harder. In Sudan 🇬🇧 citizens have already panicked at this and tried to escape themselves. Don’t blame them for that but the message is always stay together and stay put where possible. This is probably why diplomats were evacuated earlier because they stayed together enabling a straightforward rescue whereas 🇬🇧 civilians are scattered all over.

I absolutely agree it's a real complex task, that said the Bundeswehr and Armée de l'Air seem to be doing a pretty good job of bringing their nationals (and ours) home compared to us.......

Two of the worst ex-leaders in the free world talking about privatising the NHS (in private) you say?
Get ready to shell out hundreds to pounds per month, per family member now for any future treatments. And if you've had the misfortune to have had an illness/accident, you're starting premiums will be huge.
It also doesn't mean your tax bill will go down either, need to give those tory donors something for nothing too.

Is this the same Boris Johnson who, at the time of the Brexit debate, was trumpeting how much extra money from savings on our net contribution to the E.U. would be able to spend on the N.H.S.?

The first thing to be said is, thank you for your service in putting yourself in harms way to help your fellow citizens It was never my intention to underestimate the task of evacuation My post was mostly sarcasm Back in 19th Century when British Empire was at peak of its power it pursued a Diplomatic Policy called Spendid Isolation now the Diplomatic Policy is just Isolation and not very Splendid When the PM of this Country when asked if France was a Friend or Foe she demurred rather than give the usual political answer In the evacuation of Afghanistan it is on public record that the wife of PM prevailed on him to intervene directly to rescue horses. Whether the evacuation of Afghanistan was successful or shambolic I'll leave open but I'm sure you'll agree Politicians should never intervene in Military Operations Having close relationships with other Countries does not always lead to harmony. Thatcher was very opposed to US invasion of Grenada which necessitated your Urgent Fury Mission to evacuate British Citizens

If true, he needs to go to jail. There are some things I’ll accept with business and politics. I am okay with MPs having a diverse, private portfolio to support their retirement. I don’t expect MPs to just sell off their future at low returns so that they can go into politics. This is especially true when MPs put money in mutual funds or have limited private shares across their own massive portfolio (where I don’t see the potential for huge returns being excessive) I do expect them to recuse themselves when it benefits them substantially, such as here. A 20% stake in a company should be seen as a gross abuse of the system. It’s possible that company was right for the task and it shouldn’t be overlooked for Matt Hancock, but that’s where checks and balances come in. Someone should have had opportunity to oversee that decision and determine if it was appropriate.

I realise Orderly Queuing is a National Pastime And the Germans probably got their Towels on the runway first Was the clip edited which would explain the extraordinary comment or was Wallace simply missing his more intelligent sidekick Gromit It's got to a stage where if the Tory's handle anything with a modicum of intelligence without three word slogans it comes as a surprise #WhenTheGermansMoveOut #TheSeaWasClosed

The problem is recruitment and who they’re replacing those lost with. When you try and rush and put bums on seats the quality goes down. Shouldnt have been cut in the first place. Due to this you end up with a whole load of inexperienced officers with lots to learn. It’s not fair on them as they won’t be eased into the role gently and nurtured as it should be. Theresa May has a lot to answer for.

One of the foodbanks near me that I have a few dealings with was 48 hours from going under as they were almost out of donations. It's affiliated to one of the Catholic Church's near Manchester City Centre and a Man City player (one of the foreign lads although I haven't been told who as he wants to remain anonymous) wrote them a cheque for £10k to keep them going for a bit. It's frightening the way some people are living at the moment, the guy from the Bank Of England with his comfortable lifestyle should just keep his mouth shut..............

This is a joy to watch. Mogg humiliated. I don’t think she does that well to be honest. She bounces from one topic to another and fails to really get him to concede on anything. Starts on Brexit, talks about food and he mentions Germany, which she doesn’t really have much to say. Then she makes a point on energy but doesn’t have more than a superficial stab when he mentions “green policies”. I suppose she tried to cram as much of her argument into one short segment but in my opinion, she’d have been better sticking to one topic, researching it more deeply and hitting him with a reasoned argument that he couldn’t just bat away. I also understood what she meant about “free speech”, that “wokeness” isn’t destroying the economy, the Conservative Party are. However, her saying that free speech doesn’t matter wasn’t that strong a statement to lean on even if she didn’t mean it like that. The problem, in my opinion, with these shows is that they talk over each other too much and that’s not how a reasonable debate should be conducted. It’s no wonder that no one can ever come to agree on topics that they previously saw differently at the start of the conversation when this is the standard that they are expected to uphold.

I don't think either do. She's one of these new found political commentators that spam your timeline on Twitter constantly banging on about Brexit and GTTO (getting the Tories out). She's admitting to voting Tory for most of her adult life by the way which is a strange way of getting them out but she's obviously had a eureka moment at some point. The cynic in me suggests it's so she can enhance her media profile but I could be wrong.............

It's pathetic that we have to laud people like this man city player as hero's in a world of inequality. A bit like when Rod Stewart was paying for private health care. Its reminiscent of Akon donating to Africa. Shows how far we've come.
