Emile Heskey favourite according to The Sent 😂 Go on Bruno! You know you can do it! Looks like he's hard up and desperate for a few bob, he does those 'personalised video greetings' for £25, squeezed into a 2004 England Top. To put that into context, thats the same as the big guy with goatee from the Office (dont know his name), and only £10 more than Zammo from Grange Hill. Even Toyah Willcox can charge £35

Whoever they appoint they're going have to stretch those purse strings.

Shes been doing some cracking lockdown weekly videos on FB, really vamping it up Cant think what you would ask Emile to do for you. "Talk me through a goal you scored please Emile, and then say my name at the end". Still, if he takes the Vale job, all his money worries will be over

It's deluded to even mention them for the job. Cook the same. Why would managers who's most recent jobs have been in the Championship, decide Port Vale is decent next step for them?

The only chance of that happening would be if the Shanahans threw an absolute packet at them.....and by all accounts times are tough up there. Whilst they are clearly wealthy, they are not mega wealthy
Ainsworth is another one thats been mentioned. 😂....it just aint going to happen. Holloway is probably the best they could get

I'm sure I saw a woman manager before, on TV. Or was that a Soap Opera...fitting for the Vale, except for the Soap bit The manageress Cherie Lunghi. At the time, it was a very implausible notion. Not so, now.

I’ve just recovered from belly laughing at some deluded Vale article in the Sentinel, saying that the Cowley brothers should come to Vale. Sorry boys, but the Cowleys are well above Vale’s level in their aspirations, probably waiting for a decent Championship gig to open up.

Cowley Brothers 😆 They've got more chance of getting Aleister Crowley.

Would have thought Sheffield Wednesday was tailormade for the Cowley brothers. Its not like they did a bad job at Hudds last season

Would have thought Sheffield Wednesday was tailormade for the Cowley brothers. Its not like they did a bad job at Hudds last season Good shout, although would they want a relegation-threatened club? I suspect they want better than that, and Wednesday’s problems are deep and systemic and have been going on for years - no quick fixes. Plus, the Pulis experience has revealed a rather mad owner situation there, a bit too similar to what they had at Huddersfield. They need a well-run club underperforming in lower mid table. Any ideas?

Emile Heskey favourite according to The Sent 😂 This is a bit of a gamble, I never considered Heskey would go into management but it'll be interesting to watch. I don't remember him ever being captain when he was a player (who are the ones who often get touted as future managers), but on his wiki it seems he captained England once when Owen went off the pitch. I like the bloke though and good luck to him if he does take on the challenge of the Vale, it's not an easy first job.

It'll be someone like Steve Davis, cheap as chips. I might be wrong here, and I can’t remember if I read this somewhere (most likely on here) or if I dreamt it, but wasn’t Askey on about £50k a year?? Doesn’t seem a lot for a professional football manager.

It'll be someone like Steve Davis, cheap as chips. Thats a good shout - especially since his snooker career is long gone. Is that grotty little snooker hall still open by the lights?

The fucking Ringling Brothers would be the most appropriate fit. The clowns are already in place, including Tommy The Dope . Shanahan's exploding car is in the car park ready for the first act.
