Pretty dull half (as expected in many ways). WBA v difficult to break down and won't give us many chances. Will need to be clinical or rely on the spectacular to break them down you feel.
We're looking really solid too, although the number of set pieces we're having to defend is a slight concern when up against a TP team! 0-0 is a pretty fair reflection on the match so far.

So pleased Pulis doesn't manage us any more, seems like their fans were hating life too.
We need to bring pieters off at halftime because pulis will get WBA to target him into getting sent off. Also we need to get Shaqiri to stop collecting the ball on the half way line, he can't hurt them there and he moves the ball SO SLOWLY.

I don't know why Shaq doesn't run at em a bit more.
There were several opportunities where he had space to take the ball on.
If we could pick up the pace this is ours.

Anyone else think shaq is playing too central and much less effective? Also worried that it seems Jesé is dropping back to support peters due to the early yellow? Fuck me it's sobering to see Pulis football again defend with 10 and hit it to a diving cunt up top win free kick rinse and repeat.

How do you even attack that though? We know what it's like, we pissed off plenty of teams under Pulis
It's like Hughes has told them to keep it slow, pass it about them and get them running? Maybe get them knackered with 30 minutes to go so we've got plenty left in the tank when it opens up?

Choupo needs to go out wide as he's doing well at turning their defenders and getting into the box. Jese struggling because he has little space to run into but at the same time he needs to try and commit their defenders. They want us to pass the ball back so they can keep their defensive shape.
I also don't like how we're generally unwilling to take risks. We've had a couple of balls over the top but where are the quick one-twos, or someone getting a shot off and looking for a rebound? They can't deal with pace and we need to be exploring it more.
