So give me some options. What has worked so far? Has doing nothing helped? This is the decision Trump has to make . Do I continue to do nothing? Or do I pull the trigger? I suppose the best option is regime change made by the Chinese. But that option comes with a time limit and it's running out. Those who are outraged by what I would do have come back with ZERO alternatives I notice. Not one suggestion as to a way forward to a resolution to this situation that has been ongoing since 1953 long before Trump yet it is he as the incumbent that now gets the blame for it. Sometimes before you can have a discussion you have to get people in a room with a common agenda, this Kim has only one agenda, his agenda. He doesn't give a rats arse about anyone else or what they think. you simply can not negotiate with him. One way or another he has to go.
You're right with regard to getting the right people in a room for discussion, but that's about the only shred of sense you've offered. I'm fucking certain that sparking off a nuclear war about the worst possible solution to the problem. And for the record, I don't think Trump is getting the blame for the historical context of the situation, but he's certainly not helping the situation with his overtly aggressive stance and borderline threats of nuclear attack. He needs to quickly grasp that their are regional and global consequences to escalating the situation, not least a few million lives that are at stake just a few miles over the border in Seoul. He's got no leverage at all with the Chinese, and the idea they they will respond to his demands to take action are fucking laughable. We all know Trump's stance on refugee's, yet he's expecting the Chinese to spark a conflict that will result in millions of North Korean refugee's spilling into their country, not to mention the massive casualties that would be inflicted on both sides. In the short term, Trump needs to dial down the bravado and understand the gravity of the situation that he's inflaming. My guess is that he's less concerned with the consequences of his idiotic comments, and more interested in shifting media attention away from his regime's impending collapse. The man is a complete fucking moron with no regard for anything other then his personal wealth and ego. So you don't think that he may use tactical nukes or battlefield nukes as they are often called? You only see a full scale launch of ICBMs creating a global holocaust, oh dear how limited.
Don't forget the reason the US used nukes against Japan was the 1 million plus casualty expectations of invading Japan. Do you really think he'll use ground troops against a North Korean army that is full of fanatics?
As to your assertion that he has no leverage with China well $462.8 billion reasons is what he has that is the trade amount with China during 2016 a $370 billion trade deficit I might add. Not something you would expect the Chinese to want to lose is it?
You see your pre conceived ideas of nuclear war and leverage are not what you thought.

You sound all in on the idea of nuclear combat. Fair enough. You can't fix stupid, so why bother. I'll leave you to cheerfully contemplate your blissful idea that nuclear attacks are the best resolution to a crisis that's little more than a political distraction tactic. Must be a barrel o'laughs at your house.
