Season long loan. No option to buy at end. Bojan wanted guaranteed 1st team. We wanted him to stay to fight for place , but with him currently being down the pecking order he decided to look elsewhere.

We cannot guarantee anyonev1st team football anymore, players have to prove their place and unfortunately bojan has shown hughesy he is week in week out undroppable

We don't need weak minded, entitled players anyway

Lets face it, we all wanted him to fight for his place, but he's at that stage in his career where he simply has to play. And we can't guarantee him that, the Premier League is to competitive for passengers. La Liga and a team like Alaves will suit him fine.
Good Luck Bojan lad

We don't need weak minded, entitled players anyway Certainly you have to question his attitude. No player guaranteed match after match nowadays, and he's sadly not done enough when given a chance. Still glad it's just loan though so he could be welcomed back next year if he finds his form again.

Really hope that he is happy there, gets regular football and stays injury free. he's still relatively young, who knows, he may return

Great lad and on his day a fantastic player. Unfortunately other teams have found him out now, and he's just too lightweight for a consistent run in the Prem.

Aren't Alaves a bit of a yo-yo team?

it would be a very unwise move to let him go, regardless of what people's opinions are, if we're not getting anymore players in this window We've Got N'goy, Verlinden to come to the squad, time to let some of the youth to take a chance to fill the bench, they can't be any worse than what Bojan was offering on the pitch, which unfortunately wasn't a lot last season. here wasn't here for half of it, and was still one of the top scorers verlinden plays on the left, i'd be very interested to see Tyrese Cambell play in the first 11 up front (hopefully in a 2)

Will always have good feelings towards Bojan as seems like a great guy and at times has had me off my seat. I remember going to the game excited just to watch him play.
It's a sad end as he won't be back. Not many survive a long loan and return and I can't think of any who return after 2 (unless they are kids).
A one time I thought we'd only lose him to a massive club for a massive fee, but now doubt we'll recoup a penny when he formally leaves.
Thanks for the memories even though they were pretty brief.

Still don't see why we're doing this. Saving 2 million pounds letting a genuinely creative player depart.
Madness.

Aren't Alaves a bit of a yo-yo team? yep, and it's it in the basque country, should be some lively local derbies going on, and not too far from Muni at Girona and his old mates at barca

A real shame but best for all parties. His initial impact was off the scale and cruel that injury set him back. Reality is our current shape works against him, he has to play as a number 10. Won't get many chances and I think shaq offers more threat there

A loan with no option to buy is the best outcome for us , let's hope that another year on loan can get him back to his best .

Still don't see why we're doing this. Saving 2 million pounds letting a genuinely creative player depart. Madness. Unless that said player is going to sulk his way around the club having been forced to stay. Bojan, clearly, doesn't have the stomach for a fight or faith that he can take the opportunity when it comes along. He had a good pre season featuring prominently and had his place in the 11 for the opening day of the season. It was his to lose and he lost it.
