I was always of the opinion that Casualty was a programme aimed at middle aged office women who were unhappily married , to give them something to talk about in the office on Monday , other than complaining about their husbands, which they seemed to do anyway
In this summary I include hobby city, doctors, casualty at holly, medics and all the other "there's been an accident" sewage, but with a special vitriol reserved for this, the originator of " Saturday night emergency services" drama. Furthermore, the prime offender, the grey man, (a kind of 'Clive Mantle lite') is the highest paid actor in Uk, having started his career so promisingly offering to get naked and lick Helen Mirren in the lift in the long good Friday
I would add a proviso that I have never (willingly) seen a single second of holly city or casualty , and nothing I have seen in the media jizz fest this weekend about it will change or alter that one iota

The acting last night was guts and all and replicated a lot of what go's on with the NHS the shots from the balcony back down to the ground were achieved by a man being hooked up while filming to a bungee and then lowered the camera man needs credit for keeping this high standard up for 40+ minutes. Even if you don't usually watch casualty this stands as an individual episode and is worth a watch. I can see it winning awards for its very high standards. well worth a watch. watch here well worth it

Is Charlie Fairhead still in it? He must be near retirement age. Worst actor ever. He has two expressions. I really need a shit, and I've just had a shit. And on really momentous occasions, I'm having a shit right now. Watch him. You'll see what i mean

All the patients and none staff all act well OTT though due to crazy plots for the episodes. Its just too daft but my 11 year old son has loved it for years.
