Is it just me who isn't fully sold on Ramadan yet? I don't see him as a "ready made replacement", he's got a touch of the Assaidi's about him I reckon. Not just you said it all along , seen nothing to suggest he is the real deal as yet and totally understand Hughes position

Manager gives young player a fairly gentle nudge, I don't see the big deal here?

Every time someone at the club says ANYTHING, dozens of nitpickers and navel-gazers will fill these columns with psychobabble because they HAVE to say SOMETHING. God knows how many pages this topic will generate whilst there's no other news. It's true that nature abhors a vacuum. Imagine discussing the players and manager of the club. It's almost like it's what this place was invented for..... It isn't 'discussion' though. It's just one lot of wafflers gainsaying the opinions of others - 'I'm right, you are wrong'. Many of the replies don't address the issues or comments o the original post, just reiterate the opinion of the poster. A reply of 'crap' or 'rubbish' or 'you know nowt about football' doesn't exactly show any rationale for those comments.

He doesn't rate him. I don't know how many times it has to be said? 😂 I know your whole life revolves around this forum but your ability to present your opinions as though they are facts should have you working in Westminster.
In my opinion, Hughes does rate Ramadan but not as much as he rated Arnautovic.

Rama needs time and sometimes that takes a manager to give him time. On the pitch. Twenty minutes here and there is no use to his development.

I'm with Bayern on this one. I think Hughes has some strange ideas, and if he can't see Ramadan is genuine class then I pity the fool! I think it's deflection from Hughes, who in my opinion is lucky to be in a job.

I agree with hughes.
I remember canerons debut everyone in the stand raved about him...i thought he looked limited and out of his depth.
Ramadan has done nothing and as much as people dont like it i think its 50/50 if he turns out decent or wank. Dont get why everyone demanding he plays as i dont see talent that needs refining just think he looks ok
There is a chance one of man utds hest ever strikers and proven prem manager actually knows a bit about football

If Hughes has an issue with Ramadan he should talk to Ramadan not the fucking Sentinel. I don't think a public shaming is motivational.

We need a right winger far more than we need a second left winger. This will free up Shaqiri to play more centrally where he's much more effective. Unless Hughes truly doesn't rate Sohbi in which case we need two wingers and we're in a world of hurt.

That said, I don't see Hughes as a great motivator. He should get on the phone with Fergie and ask him for a few tips.

What is Hughes problem with Ramadan?
Does he not like going without food between dawn and dusk?
Or is more egregious?

And some people think we don't need to replace Snake Eyes.
We do if the useless twat in charge continues to mess Sobhi around.

It's just typical Spinks bollocks. Delete the headline, remove the editorial and just read the bit between the quote marks.
It's a perfectly reasonable quote from MH
Since we don't even know what the question was it doesn't help either I suspect it was something as banal as "..and how is Ramadan doing?"

Hughes is a complete arsehole for bringing a young players marriage into the fucking equation as part of some swivel-eyed "motivational" public humiliation - what a complete twat. I fucking despair with this guy at the helm FFS

You could read it as several things.
Hughes wants him to be no.1 choice for that left side and is giving him a bit of a kick in terms of requiring development and demanding focus and application
Hughes pressing the panic button to make funds available to bring in a quality, experienced replacement for snake.
Hughes simply suggesting that the spotlight is on Ramadan to prove himself and to show why he should be where he is at such an age.
Or a million other reasons. This is the problem with sound bites, you don't get the full picture, or anything near.
Hopefully the young lad gets serious game time tho as he looks like he could be a superstar. Time (which I hope he gets) will tell.

Hughes does seem to have 'not warmed' to him Funnily enough I still haven't warmed to Hughes. The thing is though, it matters not a jot whether you have or you haven't.

Some on here are borderlining pathetic. Alls Hughes has done is give the young lad a little nudge to keep his feet firmly planted and to keep working hard to make that left side his own. Yet some see it as a way of ribbing Hughes again.

That's what Pulis did (& will do with Albion's Chinese signing) when he had players bought for him,he simply didn't pick them. If Hughes didn't rate Ramadan he wouldn't even make the bench.

Hughes is an A1 fuckwit with zero man management skills - hence the fucking dire deterioration over the last 18 months - cannot manage a squad cannot manage a game.......should have walked or got the bullet end of last season - all IMHO of course

I don't think Hughes would accept anyone being bought over his head after what happened at QPR.
The message he left for Ramadan before the AFCON final makes it hard to believe he doesn't like him, but it's feasible to believe he isn't quite ready yet.
Would still question how wise it is to say that publicly though.
