I support Arnie for wanting to leave. Actually has balls and has told Coates to fuck off. Good on you lad. I hope he has a better time at West Ham. Log out and calm down.

If BMI signs for Palace it will represent a massive humiliation for our club and heads must surely roll. The present player recruitment team is clearly not fit for purpose and changes need to be made if we are to restore some pride and credibility.

So which sky source do we believe?
A) he's having a medical tomorrow?
Or
B) he's off to palace?

Let's see what the fee is first, if it's the £8m we were originally quoted then fair play, slag the club off all you want. If it's the £13m that was quoted the other day, well.. maybe we thought he wasn't worth it? I can't blame them either because I don't think he is worth that much.

Frank De Boer must have played a big part in this surely? Don't think he's ever played under him though? Hughes has actually managed him for a year. I'd guess it's more the London thing. Could be as simple as his wife really not liking Knutsford (which is where I think he lived, isn't it?)!

The way our highly paid execs handle transfer dealings is a fuckin joke. This goes back to the days of that fat fucker Moxey. We continue to employ these so called business brains who basically haven't got a clue how to negotiate. Our mantra seems to be to sell players cheap and the waste money when buying. I assume the hierarchy at the club don't read this message board, for fear of what they might read about their incompetence. We should email our comments (politely) direct to the club. I will certainly start the ball rolling whilst also asking why the club aren't more open with fans when things go tits up!.

It'll come down to "the option", won't it? If we could have signed him for less a few weeks ago, this situation wouldn't have arisen (assuming Bruno really did want to sign for us) and it'll probably be a case of someone at Stoke trying to be too clever and being hoist by their own petard.

Personally I'm struggling to square up what we appear to be willing to pay for Bruno on a permanent deal and what we have been reported to be eager to pay Chelsea for the loan of a player for one season.

I've always had the feeling that the reason the deadline wasn't met is because Bruno couldn't commit to us. The club still wanted him, so didn't want to turn the fans against him by publicising the situation. But having missed the deadline, we could no longer call the shots over the fee. CEO gets the flak because that's the kind of thing he's paid to do.
Just my opinion based on nothing but a gut feeling.

More worrying than not actually signing Bruno himself, is the fact we look incapable of signing anybody as we aren't willing to compete money wise

If we're looking to stay domestic then that'll be difficult of course.

Didn't he say he wanted to live near the coast? Costa Del Croydon Live in Brighton & drive up to Palace, get a plane home from Gatwick when he needs to & a Dutch manager to double talk to. Or his family want London on the doorstep - there could be lots of reasons or Sky Sources could be talking bollocks again😡
