That's where the law is an ass imho. Manslaughter in my eyes is accidental killing. His actions were premeditated and, although he may not have intended to kill the kids, his plan was so brutal it was highly likely to end in deaths. The law unfortunately considers premeditated intent to be primary reason of conviction for murder not the action itself. |

I watched it and was sick to my stomach. I agree that letter should be produced every time he applies for parole. What shocked me was the lenient sentence he got - life with a minimum of 15 years. One life sentence even though he killed 6 people. In the States he would have got 6 consecutive life sentences, so if a single appeal or parole was successful he would still have to serve the remaining sentences.
Utter vermin. I have more time for the rats in the sewers under Stoke-on-Trent than I do for him and his accomplices.

Mairead Philpott has been released from prison after serving less than half her 17-year sentence for killing her six children in a fire.
The 38-year-old, who killed her six children after burning down the family home in Derby in 2012, was 'delighted' at being given her earliest possible release date.
She was taken from HMP Send in Surrey to a halfway-house yesterday, after just eight-and-a-half years behind bars, The Sun reported.
News of her imminent release was previously slammed by the Centre For Crime Prevention think-tank, which said: 'This is not justice.'
Philpott, along with husband Mick and friend Paul Mosley, burnt down the family's three-bedroom council house in 2012 in a bid to get a bigger home.
But the couple's six children - Duwayne, 13, Jade, 10, John, nine, Jack, seven, Jesse, six, and Jayden, five - died from smoke inhalation as a result of the blaze.
The taxpayer will cover thousands of pounds worth of costs for Philpott to stay in a hostel with a new identity.
