He must be fucking mental if he turned Monaco down. Maybe it was really that the pay package didn't match what he has here. Rather terrifyingly he is quite entitled to remain at Clayton Wood wearing out the carpets for the next 4 years if he chooses. Indeed, Wilson Palacios Mark II, but with gloves!

The most interesting part of the article is at the bottom .Did Imbula turn Monaco down.Looks like we going to get stuck with him. Torino have rekindled their interest in Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula, who has also been a target for Monaco. Mark Hughes made it clear at the end of last season that things have not worked out for Imbula and the midfielder's future at the club has been under scrutiny ever since. Torino showed early interest in the player last month and there was talk of the Italians tabling a loan bid with an option to buy, but the Serie A side moved on to other targets. However, with just a few days left in the summer window, Torino have reignited their interest in Imbula, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport. They are interested in snapping up the Frenchman before Thursday's deadline and are confident of agreeing a deal with Stoke. Monaco held talks with the player earlier in the window, but couldn't convince him to move to Ligue 1. He must be fucking mental if he turned Monaco down. Did read some time back that he would like to more to Turkey because his Wife had lived there for a number of years. So it might be he's only going to move to where he wants to go or he sit tight on his contract.

So if that mental brittleness could be "gleaned" then surely nobody's gonna pay any sort of decent fee for him, do you agree? Were you not advocating signing Berahino previously? Yes, hence why I said I think we'll struggle to get rid of the fucker..... I was, I thought he'd be played on the right wing though as that's where he fits how Hughes plays. I think he's a brilliant striker tbh, so the predicament of Hughes not being able to get him working makes me wonder! Why would Hughes play Berahino on the right wing? Berahino is right footed and Hughes likes to play with inverted wingers not conventional wingers. So, he'd play Berahino on the left if he was going to play him wide.

True but he is the only one I can think of. Walters played more centrally than on the right for Hughes except where we went 2 up front. Hughes tends to like wide forwards to play in positions where they can come in onto their stronger foot. Shaq played only 1 game on the left and Arnie only played on the right when Hughes wanted to give Ramadan a run out.

For a bloke who likes changing things about so much you wouldn't think he'd be that dogmatic about anything.

Toulouse? Blimey. Barrel. Scraping.
RMC Sport Info: Tipped in Monaco, Imbula could land in Toulouse! Talks in very good way, on a loan basis. #mercato

Safe to say Toulouse won't be buying him next summer.
So if he goes there, got to hope he shines enough to prompt someone else to
Decisive meeting within the next 24 hours for the loan of Imbula in Toulouse. Advanced negotiations #RMCSPORT #BreakingFoot

Imbula Very Close To Toulouse rmcsport.bfmtv.com/football/mercato-en-direct-liverpool-s-offre-keita-draxler-sonde-la-premier-league-1226.htmlSounded recent weeks in Monaco midfielder Stoke City and former OM Giannelli Imbula could commit in the next hours with .... Toulouse! If some financial details remain to be settled between the two clubs, the loan of the former Marseille is looking good. His arrival in the Pink City could be finalized on Wednesday afternoon. If an agreement is reached, the most expensive signing in the history of Stoke City (€ 25 million) will pass the medical examination in stride.

It's bizarre that our worst ever signing might be one of our best ever players.
If that makes sense.

Toulouse isn't that bad.
Mid-table Ligue 1 club, 35000 stadium.
We're getting a little snobby in our old age, gentlemen... :-)
If he's off the wage bill, plays okay and attracts interest then good luck to him.
I really, really wanted it to work out for the guy at Stoke, real shame...

Does anybody know the truth behind the Imbula fiasco. He started in a bit of a fanfare but recall his final demise was the FA Cup game vs Dingles. Everybody saying he is a naturally gifted playmaker....so what happened?
