Huge ruckus on tonight, Canelo vs Saunders, should be a belter. Canelo huge favourite but I’ve got a feeling there could be an upset BJS is a clever and intelligent fighter, no concussive power but a slippery mover and able to rack up the points. Canelo, however, is a level above what he’s faced before. Good luck Billy, rooting for you 👊 Anybody who can do 12 rounds with GGG twice is a serious boxer. Looking forward to this, downloaded the dazn app to view it live

Huge task for BJS later, he needs win 10 rounds minimum convincingly to stand a chance, he hasn't got the power knock Canelo out, plus if GGG couldn't do it Billie certainly won't. He's technically up there with the best is Billie.

BJS was very competitive but Canelo was catching him with the power shots ( even though he missed a lot too). The judges had it all for Canelo anyway, i had it even at the stoppage.

You're going have to comfortably win 9/12 rounds for an opponent to come away with victory in the states vs Canelo now. I mean GGG beat him twice, most folk know that.

Phenomenal achievement from Taylor and puts him in exalted company as Britain's first four belt champion and one of only five in history.
Usyk, Crawford, Jermaine Taylor and Bernard Hopkins. Not a bad list to add your name to!

Looking forward to this. Boxing is about the only thing I watch on sky sports now so if this means a cheaper subscription fee, more oversees fight, less pay per views and better coverage I’m all for it 👍🏻

Lewis Ritson fights Jeremias Ponce in Newcastle on Saturday night, live on Sky. The bout is a final eliminator for the IBF World strap and Ritson has definitely got a crowd pleasing style. Ponce (yes I know) will not be shy either and I’m hopeful of a good fight. Definitely worth a look.

Ritson needs to improve from his last performance against Vasquez, blatant robbery, he was completely outboxed.

Ridiculous 'sport' which should be banned.
Has no place in modern society.

Ridiculous 'sport' which should be banned. Has no place in modern society. Why not? Because it teaches kids that brute strength is still something to be revered and celebrated. The ability to knock another human being to the ground should not be seen as an achievement in 2021 in my opinion.

I like boxing but I find it very strange that there is so much fuss about rugby, football, American football etc in terms of concussions and head injuries but almost complete silence on this from the boxing world, when the entire point is to deliver a concussion to your opponent. You never hear anyone talk about it but it's well known that boxers get damaged mentally from being punched in the head repeatedly. Is it just the amount of money involved that produces the silence? Given that some rugby players are suing the RFU, it seems a bit strange that it's so quiet in boxing?

A lot of these lads came off the streets and turned their life around through boxing.

I've not been following it, I see Rossi on about it constantly and get suddenly incredibly bored. Saw it on the front page of the Sun the other day in passing, something one of the Gallagher brothers had apparently said, I forget what.

The ability to knock another human being to the ground should not be seen as an achievement in 2021 in my opinion. I get where you're coming from but you should then ban every other contact sport as well The problem is with banning such sports you are actually failing to accept that humans have a violent and aggressive nature. The PC 2020's is based on the fallacy that humans do not have unconscious, evolutionary drives and have only conscious thoughts and decisions or that such unconscious patterns can be disrupted by being 'woken up' whereas most of our normal lives we act out of habit or unconscious motivations we are oblivious to Boxing ignites the base instincts and yet transcends them through, as others have said, sportsmanship and compassion. If it were banned where would all those drives go?
