Four Labour frontbenchers sacked/quit for backing Chuka Umunna's Brexit amendment; Zeichner, West, Cadbury and Slaughter. 49 MP's defy Corbyn.
Well, well. After all the huffing and puffing it seems it was Jezza that faced a mutiny over the Queen's speech. Good job there's a revolving door on that Shadow Cabinet office.
EDIT: Make that five firings (so far) from the Lab front bench. Gareth Thomas.

You are right Rog, its unlike Conservative MP's who vote for Austerity and were willing to vote against Abortion rights, just to cling to power. There would have been a whole raft of Tories desperate to vote for the amendment today, do you think they'll sit on their hands forever?

The sooner the Tory voters on here stop focusing on the bad things Labour do, and instead focus on the bad things the Tories do... And the Labour voters stop focusing on the bad things the Tories do & instead focus on the bad things Labour do, then the sooner we might actually start to fucking get somewhere with the state of our political parties.
It's always just fucking deflect, deflect, deflect and blame it all on someone else. It's no wonder we're all taken for fucking mugs when all you idiots just wildy cheer for your 'team' and ignore all the shit they do.

The majority of the most pro remain and pro leave areas have Labour MP's, although you could always do what the Newcastle-under-Lyme MP did and ignore the result and do what you thinks best despite the overwhelming majority of your constituents voting the other way. I thought Chuka was interested in serving on the front bench again. Seems he's shot that.

But recess is coming up and we'll all enjoy the sight of Trump front and centre as guest of honour with Macron in Paris in a couple of weeks so that'll silence the Bercow's and Yvette Cooper's of the world which will be amusing. Brexit will continue through the Summer and slowly but surely voters will realise that it's only posturing and rhetoric from politicians that could keep us from a decent outcome. Conference season will be fun, maybe a new Conservative Leader, maybe not. I don't see many throwing their hat into the ring until Brexit is more advanced. I'm sure Our Jeremy's disciples will have a summer of discontent lined up just to keep the media selling rags and the emergency services stretched. We'll see who blinks first.

I'm not upset but I now know why you spout such bollicks. Can you see beyond that extra dick you've got growing out of your head. If your trying to be funny or sarcastic I would give up now. You need more than the one brain cell you have to achieve a decent level of success. Good night some of us have jobs to go to in the morning. Goodnight ....hope you feel better in the morning . I've got to go out myself ..... The dog keeps biting at his knackers . It's either fleas or the bitch over the road . Evening Least the dogs got some bollicks to bite at. is it true if you scratch yours you get a nose bleed and headache?🦀

I grew up on benefits in Fegg Hayes . My dad was a miner but died when I was 12 ..my mother a sponger ( that's a free for the those who want to make political gain out of my free offering ) in the pot banks . I was a pure bred snotty nosed street kid ..Austerity WAS Stoke on Trent ...infact it always was . I got shit jobs here and there and then the anti Christ appeared ...Norman Tebbit appeared on the scene . He told us all to go out and look for work ...so I did ..on A Yamaha 50 which I bought for £30 ( the winnings from a street fight in Chell Heath )
Six months later I was in Cheshire in lodgings that I couldn't afford . I then got a job working as a salesman in Insurance . Suddenly I got a better paid Job. Then I became an agent ...even more money . I then went to university in scouseland ...got a first in big numbers ...then I took a HND ....passed .
By 1986 I was earning big big bucks ...more than most earn now . I always drove shit cars ...still do . I avoided debt at every juncture ....lived on spam and pies ( Stoke roots ) ....eventually I was assaulted by our Ilda and I was forced into marriage ...what a bastuurd I thought ....
10 years later I worked the system so that my kids could go to Sir Johns Deanes College in Northwich(back then the third best college in the country including private colleges ) They both did very well and from the poorest humblest beginnings but all you moaners you could do the same if YOU HAVE THE HUNGER and belief .
Not many have .
Austerity is real ....but the way out is to work fucking hard .
I still work 7 days a week ...with no holiday or sick pay .
You might think I'm bragging ..I'm not . Just providing an easy solution for those who are in despair ,....but you have to have a pair of bollocks to match your aspirations ...
The Labour Party is doing nothing but spreading doom and gloom .
How many of you have spent 3 weeks in a YMCA calling everyone "duck " and wondering why you getting strange looks ....?

I've read some garbage from you but this takes the biscuit, Labour left a deficit of £144 billion for the tories, thats spending £144 billion a YEAR more than they take in tax each YEAR, this wasn't for one off items this is the normal day to day running costs, thats why they left the no money left note. And the crisis was made worse by Labour bailing out Northern Rock because it was located in a Labour heartland. The impact of the financial crisis was worsened because of Thatcher deregulating banks. The tories heavily criticised Balir's government for regulating them and so had the tories been in charge instead of labour the financial crisis would have hit us harder. Plus the tories have pressed the self destruct button on our economy because of brexit. The tories are economically illiterate Thatcher left the Government in 1992, the financial crisis happened in 2008, 16 years later, how do you figure it was her fault especially as there was 11 years of labour in charge druing those 16 years, if it was 1993 it happened your agument would stack up, but not 2008. Is this Thatcher admitting a mistake on the banks on the financial crisis, or the chancellor who said no more boom and bust www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13032013

Is this Thatcher admitting a mistake on the banks on the financial crisis, or the chancellor who said no more boom and bust www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13032013Firstly the global financial crash was no one person's fault. My argument is that Thatcher giving the banks a clean slate to do almost whatever they liked with money was a controbuting factor. It was economically illiterate. Secondly, if you think a global financial crash just happens overnight and is not preceded by years of decision that have an impact then you do not understand economics at all. Lastly, labour are also partially responsible. Blair regulated the banks more than the tories, but not nearly enough. He was fiercely criticised by tories for introducing more restrictions on banks and clearly he did not go far enough. The crash was caused more by similar unregulated financial institutions in the states than from actions here anyway. Having said that, with brexit and thatcher (privatisation, closing factories where we used to produce thing and the above) the tories are far less reliable with the economy than labour. I have never voted for either by the way so have no particular allegiance to one or the other.

But how can you blame Thatcher with the timescales involved, and Bliars control of the banks when he spent far too much money, lots of people had many many years to change it? Ive said on here many times that far more manufacturing/factory jobs jobs were lost under labours 13 years than the Tories 18 years, it's facts from the Office of National Statistics. In 1997 when Labour came to power manufacturing was at 18% of the economy, when labour left it was 10% a drop of about £40bn output on some figures, in the 13 years why didnt they take the 18% and make it a higher figure?

Also in that time we have seen a rise in the far east in manufacturing because of the cheap labour this has resulted in traditional manufacturing industries like the potteries in decline we have also seen a shift in the economy away from manufacturing to that of a service economy that is were greater profits can be made to blindly quote percentages aren't a true reflection on what is going on with industry in the uk and a decline in manufacturing under Labour is only one measure the whole economy grew under Labour until the bankers caused the economic crash through being to greedy
