Imbula is finished with us - his interview with French TV made that pretty plain. I can't see Hughes risking him when he trusts Charlie (who is normally far better when he starts games than when he appears - and disappears - as sub). Charlie might actually shoot, which is more than Imbula or anyone else in midfield manages. His shooting is bordering on the ridiculous though. In terms of quality and where he does it from. It's essentially just giving the ball away when he shouldn't be.

Charlie has been utterly diabolical for a good season and a half now and is very lucky to continue getting so many chances. He should be told thank you for your goals in his first couple of seasons, and moved on in summer. Got to be Imbula or Muni alongside Cameron tomorrow

Tough choice.
Adam.
Imbulla's perfomance against Wolves has left a deep, deep scar.

He has been though. Last Saturday being the ultimate humiliation. We had at the very least three worse players on the pitch last week and the manager ultimately gave Liverpool the game. He did that by subbing Walters off. Adam going off was at the time the only thing that made sense. He should of course never have come on.

I think I would go 4-4-2 tomorrow with Crouch starting and either Saido or Diouf with him so Charlie for me because he is better at long balls , we looked a lot more threatening when Crouch was playing and these next two games we cant afford to lose or the panic may set in

It's a difficult call. You know what you're getting with Adam. What I mean is we all know his limitations and can prepare for them. With Imbula I haven't got a clue what he's going to do. As long as Cameron has the discipline to sit in (which I doubt) then I would go with Imbula if only to give him one last go from the start in the hope that he can drive us forward. From what I've seen Hull aren't great in centre mid anyway. David Meyler? But if we want to play it safe ( ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) ) then Adam. A half fit Whelan it is then.

What a complete load of old bollocks It isnt though. He is shite. What does he do well on a football pitch? He cant pass, tackle or run. He is extremely selfish in his play, often shooting when other players are better placed. When was the last time you came away from a game thinking 'Charlie played well today'? The 6-1 against Liverpool? He has been woeful since that date and gets away with so much less criticism than he should get He has scored just 2 goals, one of them a penalty, in the league since the start of last season! That is 44 games that he has featured in, for someone who people praise for his attacking play. He is also a fan of 'Mrs Browns Boys'. He should have been got rid of last summer.

To me depends entirely on what the summer plans are for Imbula. If we have any intention of keeping him, you chuck him in these next two and try to build some confidence back, see if there is really anything there. If he can't show anything in these two then, to me he is well and truly finished. If he's already one foot out the door, it's Adam.

Adam - he tends to look better against teams in this half of the League and can produce a goal. If we hadn't got ourselves in a position of needing the points it would have been an ideal opportunity to let Imbula have one last fling to show his worth. I tend to agree but Adam has been hopeless last two games, particularly the last one. I'd love to see Muniesa alongside Geoff but it isn't going to happen. I think he would be exceptional. Reads the game, can tackle, can pass, gets forward.

If we could just get another 3 or 4 points in the bag these are the things that could be tried as the season winds down - for what it's worth I've always thought Muni would be better in that type of role ....sadly I don't think we are ever destined to find out though.

Having looked through a few of the earlier games this season, I've noticed that Imbula has had a couple of great forgotten performances, Leicester at home sticks in the mind, brilliant in those first 70 minutes, then a collapse by the defence and Lee Grant knackered it! Based on the fact i've only just watched them, I'd go Imbula ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) along with Cameron and between Charlie/Whelan. As long as its not 442.

Prick. Perhaps you would rather the options were Daryl Russell? or Mick Kennedy? Perhaps Amdy Faye? Maybe Michael Tonge? Surely not Diego Arismendi? Please stay away from my club. Your clearly not one of us. SGS Why do you bother coming on here if you can't deal with people expressing different opinions ? Fucking idiot.

An open question here but is it fair on Imbula to bring him in from the cold and expect him to hit the ground running in a game we need to win?
It's got to be Charlie for me as he's the more match fit of the two.

It's got to be Charlie for me as he's the more match fit of the two. You could be right. The recent ivs with Hughes could be interpreted as getting tomorrow over and done with {hopefully maximum points} and the rest of the season used to integrate {or not} Imbula {and perhaps a couple of the uninjured youth}. May be seen as too much of a risk to start Gianelli tomorrow. Hughes also talked about the importance of containing their width, wing backs perhaps? Dunno. Tales of the Unexpected.
