Sadly assassinations and assassination attempts are part and parcel of politics, it’s nothing new and neither are heated/nasty campaigns, both sides indulge in nasty rhetoric. It’s just excuses for the actual perpetrator who has directly attacked democracy, everyone’s scorn should be aimed squarely at him!

He's definitely an idiot I can’t stand the bloke and he’s clearly a really unpleasant and unlikeable character but he’s not an idiot. You don’t get to where he is in life by being an idiot. He’s a businessman not a politician.He just doesn’t seem to have any empathy for people at all and his ability to not care about others is probably why he’s where he is. I’m sure he doesn’t care but if I was him when I went to meet my maker I’d look back and feel a whole load of guilt about all the people I’ve destroyed to get where I am. |

This Matty Crooks kiddie seems like a walking contradiction which even Edward de Bono would struggle to interpret.

What does seem a little strange or negligent to me .....before any controversial politician gives a speech or rally you would have thought the guards would have assessed the area for any vantage point that would give a direct line to the podium and occupied it. I'm going for negligence.

Perhaps he was already hidden in there? He surely can't have just rocked up with a ladder or a climbing rope on the day? Fascinating stuff. |
