'Sing when you're winning' by Colin Irwin.
Next up is 'The Maltese Falcon' by Dashiell Hammett.Read it before but it is a classic.

Wuthering Heights. No sign of Kate Bush, yet, and I must admit I am disappointed.

The Ragged Trousered Philanthropist. Read it as a student 30 odd years ago, just found it and started it again. Fuck me it's hard work. I'd forgotten what a tortured soul I was. The only one with a social conscience, and all that bollocks.

Lonely Boy by Steve Jones (Sex Pistol), harrowing and funny in equal measures. Jumpin Jack Flash - a biography about 1960s cult figure David Litvinoff.

Last Orders by Graham Swift, great read, two thirds of the way through and just discovered it was made into a film with Michael Caine, Helen Mirren, Bob Hoskins and Ray Winstone, now if the film is half as good as the book has been so far I can see another purchase coming on.

The film is excellent. David Hemmings and Tom Courtenay are in it too.

Dominic Sandbrook's 'Seasons In The Sun.' His books on the 1970s are engrossing reads. Brexit and Trump are a piece of cake compared to then.

I recently read 1927 by Bill Bryson, a fascinating insight to a remarkable year in American history. Some of the details surrounding Charles Lindbergh and Babe Ruth astonished me.
