The issue for me is how we get the ball to him. Arnie, Shaq, Allen, Affy. We have some very good players. Why are people's glasses a quarter empty all the time??

For a player supposedly frozen out at WBA he still managed to play in 35 games last season.
Yes he may of been a substitute for some/most but he was hardly frozen out.

Great that sparky is actually getting him match fit rather than writing him off until summer! Could really cement him in the side and give him self belief! Good work marky mark Firstly, he played for West Brom 4 times this season, so he has not been off for 18 months. Pulis wouldn't have picked him if he wasn't match fit. Secondly, unless I'm being dull, surely today's revelation means that he wasn't being picked by Pulis and sent away because of suspension not over weight and fitness issues. FYI: 'Any player who tests positive for a social drug out of competition is charged and subject to a sanction which ordinarily includes a suspension from all football activity for a period of up to six months for a first-time offence.
'They are also subject to target testing for a period of two years. The FA do not report the name of the player as this offence is not a WADA code offence and privacy allows for the player to undergo any necessary rehabilitation and counselling.'
Edit: It is now the usual practice in the UK for an employer who discovers an employee is /has taking drugs to offer counselling and rehabilitation. www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg91.pdfHe's nowhere near as sharp as he could be, not saying he's mega unfit but he needs to pick up the pace of the game as well as get used to playing with Stoke and I'm glad Hughes isn't sidelining him but rather getting him into games straight away. The drugs thing is something else imo as wba weren't ever likely to play him after the other goings on.

Perhaps I am being thick but why would anyone in an official capacity at WBA leak this story?
It happened under their watch not ours so reflects poorly on them and not us.
We are the rehabilitation people.
I could imagine a bitter fan with some inside information might do it in a revengeful way but not the club itself.

Never been two fussed about pulis one way or the other But for Christ sake 75% of this board needs to give their heads a fucking large wobble He has gone he is in the past he is no more We are all supposedly STOKE fans not pulis fans or haters For the sake of the sanity of the 25% let it rest and you may find your minds will be more peaceful also How's YOUR team getting on? Stoke are doing quite well and it would be slightly more enjoyable if we didn't have to read. Constant bullshit from the past

What a horrible club they have become this last couple of years In all my years of supporting Stoke I don't think I have ever wanted us to win a match as much as I do on Saturday. Not just to win but to absolutely muller them. I would love it, love it, love it.

Yep.....I thought the fa released who was banned and for how long The media would of been all over this when it initially happened ....we know who is behind this and the timing of it but for some reason people just don't see it WBA have waited their chance as Cardiff did with Malky MacKay

We are the rehabilitation people. I could imagine a bitter fan with some inside information might do it in a revengeful way but not the club itself. They are leaking it because Pulis is a loathsome fucktard. Immediately, with the game against the Baggies this weekend, it will give the WBA crowd something to taunt him with - as if they needed it with Berahino. And it is also designed to get inside his head - they have been doing a psyops job on him for over a year now. More generally, the relationship was so broken that it was clearly a bitter separation when it eventually came. So if they can damage his confidence and at the same time, give every other set of away fans something to taunt him with, then it is job done. Pulis is big on schadenfreude with players. He has to control or destroy. And he's an arrogant prick as well. His dream scenario is that this is psychologically ruinous for Berahino. It will make Pulis look like a genius for getting one good year out of him and then making £14M on an apparently burnt-out player.

I don't see the issue - if he did fail a test, it was under West Brom's management (or lack thereof) of the player.
Furthermore, they've just signed Livermore.

He needs to play and rise above the occasion , scoring will be the best answer to the West Brom family , if that Plymouth goalkeeper can play after killing two kids through drink driving then Saturday should be a piece of piss for sadio

I'd like to know more details may be a bit of a wider issues. Leak obviously designed to do maximum damage. Would such an issue not have been in his medical records and those records would have been reviewed by our side?

Sparky saying we were aware of it and that he served an 8 week ban
When asked would he now consider playing him...
"Why wouldn't I play him.."
He also referred further questioning back to WBA as he was their player at the time.
Seems to have handled it well

Its catch 22 isn't it. I don't think we can start him in matches, but we can introduce him as a sub like the other night. In the week get some running in to him to build his fitness and maybe some behind closed doors games or u23 games too.
