Thanks Bowyer. So sad. Please God, let me be wrong, but I have such a bad feeling about this.

Take your time Jack, we'll get by without you for the rest of the season and then you can come back when you're at your strongest next season. Good luck !!

Jack needs a late transfer window fitness test. In the next 10 days. With us having some one in mind. Should he fail. Hopefully not. Fingers crossed for him. It would be good to have him back. He is nowhere near being fit to play, chances are we won't risk him this season.

Says he is on crutches for another 5 days so I doubt he would even attempt a fitness test 5 days after that, he would still be in rehab right?

I don't think there will be any option but to wait until next season. It's going to be a year in March, he's going to need lots of care. God forbid he breaks down again.

Hardly reassuring he's still on crutches 10 months after the original injury. Don't suppose he has to worry about statutory sick pay though.

It's strange the way these things work but if the injury had never happened and Jack had continued his form we would probably have been witnessing his last few games in a Stoke shirt before he disappeared off to Liverpool or some such team. Club finances would be looking good though!

Reported for training in November? He was playing friendlies in July. If FIFA don't pay then surely Stoke have insurance for player injuries?

The lesson to learn from last time is to not rush him back. It will do more harm than good. Rushing him back has given him another six months out injured, and we also saw the effect that it had on players like Mama Sidibe and Matty Etherington. We've got a capable deputy now, we can do without him for a while.
I do wish wed get in a decent number 2 on loan, though, just in case.

50/50 whether he will ever play to the standard he was achieving. Apart from the physical side he must be mentally shot and when it comes to those crowded penalty areas what will be in the back of his mind.
Hope i'm wrong

There is a lot of nonsense on this thread. Craig Gordon was out for about three years and came back for Celtic just as good as before
