Mainz losing, he's in stands watching, i'd do that twitter thing but i don't know how Me neither. I understand it's used to negotiate trade deals, develop policy and that kind of thing! I think I'll stick to the Oatcake - most people on here seem pretty decent, sensible people.

You say elsewhere that you don't give a shit what people think? You won't mind then if I return the compliment to you. Trying to achieve - top 10 or better and possible Cup run (ask Liverpool about this!) What's our game plan - why should Hughes tell anyone outside the club? Why gone backwards - players form fluctuates, injuries, opposition countering tactics, new tactics being attempted Manager continuing as before - nothing is guaranteed in football - see Chelsea last season and this; Man City week to week Rectify it sharpish - can only use windows and not all improvement targets wish to come to Stoke and you wouldn't wish him to spend for spending's sake. No 2 seasons are the same, players change, teams change, tactics change - even in football, life doesn't always follow nice straight lines of progression. Feel free not to give a shit about my opinions and be disillusioned with this supporter In the last 12 months we have witnessed some of our worst performances in this League. The Tottenham and Palace defeats were truly awful. We have also been knocked out of the cup by a Championship relegation contender and Hulls reserves. This isnt a deviant from progression or stagnation, it's regression despite relatively significant investment. To too it all off he then pisses off and loans out one of the better and well liked (fans wise) players. It's shite. This season is turgid and boring and he is to blame. yet we are lying in the same position as those seasons where we're supposedly better. maybe mark is trying to add substance to the team (albeit not always succeeding) rather than just looking pretty? losing bojan is a massive blow and I'm personally quite upset. I will get over it and hope we see a breath of fresh air when saido starts to play. 3 points next week and we are again within a shout of European football. goes back to the question I keep asking and the negative nancies keep avoiding... if we do manage Europe with less attractive football are you lot still going to be knicker wetting?

I'm trying to understand if people just want to see pretty football or if they want results. clearly we are in a decent position again and people aren't happy at the way the team are going about it. if we turn that position from 9th to 7th, will it still be complaining or will it be conveniently forgotten?

You know my answer! indeed I do. in fact you would still whine if we came 2nd in the premier league because we hadn't won it. it's where your ambition as you call it is seen as delusion by anyone applying common sense.

That was my gripe when we got promoted! It still pisses me off now tbh. Yeah, strive to be the best and accept nothing else. We aren't the best we can be and we weren't then.

With all respect, but why is Steve Sidwell chirping in ?😀 Probably because he's a friend as well as an ex teammate, I am sure Odemwingie mentioned Sidwell was learning Spanish to help the Spanish lads to settle in.

It does make you question the sanity in the minds of the management team when they give Crouch an extra year and then ship Bojan out of the door. New contracts for Adam and Walters to follow. It's absolutely crazy what happening. We sign a bloke who thrives on through balls and get rid of the only player we have centrally who can play them. Oh well. Errr, do you just make up stuff to suit your current agenda? How many assists has Bojan got since he came here? Is that the result of great through balls? Are you telling me Shaqiri for one, cannot play a through ball?

Oh I will. Indeed I loved Hughes' first two seasons. There was a purpose, there was a plan, there was good football, you could see what we wanted to do. There's none of that now.

Only recently are we seeing proper investment into an ageing squad. It takes time plus we've been decimated with injuries.

Just found out this news. I can only say....oh I'm really rather sad about it. I accept it's been heading towards inevitability for quite some time now, and indeed when he got crocked I predicted that we'd end up having to sell him after he recovered....I just had this feeling. I think he's a great guy and a great player and had he not got crocked he could have been one of our all time heroes on and off the pitch. It seems it was not to be....I am desperately sad though because he is a real talent and one of football's good guys. Why does this type of scenario NEVER work out for us? I don't like that it has had to happen but I fully understand why it came to this. I trust that Hughes has done the right thing and thus I support him doing it. That doesn't mean I can't be desperately sad about it though. And I am

You want the manager to leave halfway through the season when we could quite reasonably have an excellent second half, and have our best ever season? How does that make any sense? Large parts of last year were terrible, but it's not like he hasn't demonstrated the capacity to play good football more often than not. And the releasing (not selling I might add) of Bojan hardly means we Berahino isn't going to thrive. We have players with his skillset. Because it's tedious to watch and I couldn't really care we finish and the season ended when we lost to Wolves? Who? Fat Adam? Runner Allen? Crabby Afellay? Nah. If you truly don't care where we finish and believe the season is over, please don't waste your time by continuing the absolute flood of negative posts about something that you don't care about!

Wow, looking at that stadium of Mainz's, I'd be amazed if he wants to come back.
Makes the bet365 look like a garden shed.

It's a squad he's made. And he's had 4 years to get the age down! True, but contracts to players he believes add value. Like most British managers he believes in the experienced pro. Berahino, Ramadan, Shaqiri, Imbula, N'Goy are all steps in the right direction. Butland is young as well.

Butland is young as well. And crocked for the rest of the season as a minimum. May as well discount Jack sadly. He isn't coming back any time soon, if at all. We should ban our players from England duty, not that it's very often an issue.
