A few changes to freshen things up and back to a back 4
Grant (I wouldn't risk playing Given) Bardsley Shawcross Indi Taylor Imbula Afellay Shaq Bojan Arnie Crouch
I'd get Cameron and Muni in too if they were fit

I was told last that we've sold just 11,000 That is shocking if true £20 for a third round cup game straight after christmas, it wouldn't be a surprise if its a low turn out.

Can anybody hazard a guess as to why the buttons to buy tickets are greyed (sp) out on the website?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Given in goal Satdee Doubt that very very much... Full strength...Nothing less... I'm with you, mate. We need to out out the strongest line-up available. Make no mistake, Wolves will be up for this and we shouldn't be taking anything for granted. We need to build on last nights win and put in a good performance. The idea of throwing youngsters into the side in the current climate is a recipe for disaster.

Been having these problems ever since the tickets were available for sale, haven't been able to buy them and missed out of my ST seat. I don't have the time to get to the ticket office but I keep trying.

After Hughes' "back to the future" selection last night, I have no idea what XI he will put out this weekend. I'd like to see a few of those who did not play last night be given a chance to step up and work hard to fight for their places back. Whether they will be given that chance, and whether they will take it if so, remains to be seen.

I think it was add some freshness to the side and certainly N'Goy would add pace and mobility to the forward line. The movement up front last night was pretty awful.

In an ideal world I would agree, but a poor performance and the result not going our way would see the fans on the team's back with little regard for the starting line-up. As you said on another thread earlier, the tension and sense of frustration in the stadium on Tuesday night was palpable. I wasn't there, but you still got a sense of it even on the box. I think we should be starting with our strongest available side, and if we're comfortably in charge, then let's introduce a couple of youngsters.

You're probably right but I just can't see how the team I've suggested would do that badly and it isn't like its a second string either. They're all internationals bar Grant and N'Goy. I just want to see N'Goy given the go because I think if he takes it he will be a revelation.

With that said, I'm guessing he'd struggle to be any less effective than what we've had up front for the last 12 months, so you're probably right in thinking he deserves a shot. Also wasn't knocking your suggested starting eleven, just concerned by the current climate and hope any youngsters coming in are given some slack if it goes tits up. I still think Arnie should start though. He always looks like the one player who's likely to make something happen regardless of how the game is going, and we can;t afford to have that missing from the side right now.

Oh I know and I completely get what you're saying and deep down know it's right. But I'm always up for a bit of tinkering on the cup. Re Arnie he probably should play but I want the 3 I've picked to play even more. And that's completely from a keeping them fresh PoV and wanting to give N'Goy a chance. Or drop one the CMs and go 4231 with Arnie in.

With the injuries we have I think sensible tinkering will be fine and will lead to a result. I can't say I have the foggiest about Wolves and their players and whose a threat etc. Part of re reason I like these games.

Well personally i'm proper looking forward to saturday. I don't get to see many of our games anymore even on a stream let alone in the ground. My shift at work is anti football. However me and my lad will be coming up from nottingham on the train because this is THE game for me. Stoke city vs Wolves. Ive told the boy there is gonna be a rip roaring atmosphere and he will be watching a proper old school rivalry. After watching last night im dubious atmosphere wise. It just seemed verging on poisonous to me, an undercurrent just waiting to burst out at the slightest mistake. Anyway. Whatever happens. I'm back up the ground. Its been a while. Come on stoke. It was verging on that for sure. Mark Hughes is in very real danger of losing the crowd and once you do that at Stoke it invariably only ends up one way. I've been a huge supporter of Hughes and a vehement defender of our season to date, but last night was bad. Had we lost, I doubt there would have been a way back for Hughes. Fortunately, they were the right opposition at exactly the right time. Yeah johnno. Its just one of those kind of vibes i recognised from years gone by. When we were far worse off. I was trying to search out the songs. Think i counted two. I dunno mate. I'm not one to go on about the crowd when i'm not there because they have paid but it just stinks of stagnation. Really hope we kick forward. With hughes. But i just don't see it.
