Does it say anywhere if he speaks the lingo? I wandered that. Arnie knows every language anyway so he should help him settle.

A few Amiens comments... -- The club does not want to let go of fofana! He will only go for a very very big offer!-- If this is confirmed, it's a bullshit for Everybody!
The player, because it is clear something in this group, two victories like that as against contenders is not trivial, triple / quadruple his salary he is free to do in 5 months. He will arrive in New group, new culture, needs 2/3 months to acclimatize. He certainly has the qualities to play in England but not now ...
Stoke, they will buy the contract of a player who is free to sign for free in months.
And Amiens who do not give themselves the right to dream ... What is the interest (even economic) to sell this player?
We can not go up without him, it is impossible!
So why not take the risk to leave it free but let the right to dream, with the turn of the last matches (at home), is not insignificant ..
-- Sold then loaned 6 months to Amiens ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)
-- If Stoke is the partner of the ASC and the idea is to collaborate (never seen an official news pass on this subject), this is what must be done.
Stoke makes sure to have Guessouma for the year pro despite the competition on this transfer and leaves us the opportunity to go up and make this partnership much more interesting for them.
Stoke has nothing to play this season (keeping quiet and eliminated from the Cup).
Make our leaders do not play her little arm. I want to mortgage this 1.5M for the right to dream in these last 16 games.Their English is terrible. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif)

L'Equipe 30/1/17:

L'Equipe have been pretty reputable in the past haven't they?
All transfers should be taken with a big pinch of salt, but this seems better than most?

Judging by this video he looks like a hulking clogger of a player. All physicality but nothing in the way of culture. Ah well, TransfrMarkt reckons he's worth about £170k so an inexpensive roll of the dice at least. Except for a couple of small details: he doesn't have much of a track record and he'll take up a spot in the 25-man squad. And he looks like a bit of an oaf who'll likely step on somebody's foot in training. Edit: I just watched the video again and he can kick with both feet, which is a definite improvement on the last Frenchman we took in.

Exclude my ignorance, but I have never heard of him. Anyone know if he's any good? Playing in the French 2nd division at 24 doesn't strike me with confidence.

I think it would be a lot to expect that if we bought this guy he would be the new Kante/Makalele.
If he is the right money though I am sure he would be worth a punt

Isn't it amazing how you can get linked with a Ligue 2 player and straight away pull up a video highlights reel? I remember in the 90s if we were linked with a player people would say things like "Apparently, he's ginger..." and "My mates in laws are from Cumbria and they say they'll drive him to Stoke themselves". If you were linked with a player from overseas it was even weirder, you just had to picture a player with a swarthy tan/Aryan complexion/dreadlocks and a suitcase full of pancetta/pickled herring/cassava.

The more the club spends the more likely it is that prices will increase. Especially in the event that the TV money stagnates or drys up.

Your right its not my money. But I still think we should strive for value for money whatever the layout. spending 18m on Imbula, 8m on Palacios still rankles with me,
I appreciate that when a premier league team comes in for your best player, then the price inflates but I don't like money been thrown around like confetti

There was a time when Rikki Dadasson was considered to be exquisite and exotic international recruitment.

This is basic economics because exponential financial growth at a rate greater than inflation is not sustainable. Sooner or later, the growth in both TV receipts and gate receipts has to slow down to zero and eventually turn negative. This will happen when the investors find a place to put their money that can earn a greater rate of return.
