Would it be fair to describe Eriksson as a similar type of player to shaqiri and bojan.
Smaller, creative and gifted footballer?
Reason I ask is that watching the early part of the spurs game, here is a player that offers great talent and flair with a real determination and grit un playing the game.
He's a fine example of how a small talented player can thrive with the right mentality.

To be fair when Eriksson looks up he has options everywhere, Kane, Son, Ali and the full backs all constantly on the move.
We have either Crouch or Walters stood still in the box and that's pretty much it.

Be interesting to see how often Eriksen touches the ball in his own half compared to how many times the creative maestro Bojan is forced to drop back to get a touch

If Stoke put Bojan and Shaqiri up for sale do you think any side at a level above us would take an interest in them ?

Eriksen is 6 foot. Shaqiri is 3 foot. Big advantage.

Eriksen often covers every blade of grass. Definitely puts in more of a shift in each game than Bojan or Shaq.
Okay, his defending still isn't incredible, but his fitness and tenacity (probably instilled by Poch) give him and his teammates a good platform for his often unique talents.
Boj and Shaq simply need to get fitter and work harder. Both great players and v. talented but do far less in comparison to the harder-working attacking midfielders elsewhere in the Premier League.

We'd find a way to break him

Shaqiri's muscles are too big for him to run too much I am afraid.
It isn't about size, desire is most important, there have been plenty of world class small players.

I still hold out hope for Bojan. Before his injury he was making an excellent contribution week in week out. Shaqiri on the other hand, flashes of brilliance every few weeks but bugger all in between. He wouldn't be missed.

Eriksen often flatters to deceive. Just look at his international appearences, he's already played more than half a ton and yet he still struggles. Similarly for Spurs, alyjough he's become more consistent this season.
