Like I've said before, hampden park with different colour seats.
All the problems you've listed above are irrelevant as all summer we heard from Karen Brady how she was busy all summer picking and choosing wallpaper and carpets for the stadium.

Loved going to Upton park..bit dodgy.loads of atmosphere and close to the home fans. Best memories were fullers dance through for his magic goal and Pennants free kick. Worst memory griffin getting fuller sent off..total twat. How can you compare this shambles of a ground??If this is progress god help us!!

Another example of decision making in football by people who have never kicked a ball but think they know it all, but all they really know is how to screw people more honest than them.

To be fair I don't think you could accuse Griff of getting Ric sent off.

when I posted this, I was unaware of the stadium problems, just that West Ham had poor home form, which sometimes is typical of teams playing in a new stadium

Can Stoke also provide free travel for me? Cincinnati is the closet airport but I'd consider Dayton as it tends to be a little cheaper. Excellent idea. Maybe they could charter a jet and pick up all of us "over here". Manchester-New York-Chicago-Cincinnati-Kansas City-Dallas-Orlando-Manchester should cover it. We have a municipal airport here, but the runway is too short. However, they are upgrading it for 2017, which will make it a lot easier.

Best trip I had in a long time was when Arni scored the equalizer the season before last.

From the outside, it looks a good stadium and access was very good. Didn't see any programme sellers and we just gave up in the end. The number of stewards/police we asked suggested they were on sale inside - they weren't. Initial stadium inside seemed fine, but lacked really anything to do with West Ham. Facilities once things busied up were woeful and most people spent all of half time queueing up for toilets or for something to eat. The toilet entrance was a strange one, a maze like gents and yet a tiny little entrance way. Pitch side was no better at all, a soulless experience and the stadium seemed to have very little to do with WHU. Strange moat like areas between sections of the seats and the upper tiers. No effort at all has been made to cover bare concrete with even some sort of advert, you could have been any stadium, it was that bad. Miles away view not helped by a running track that according to most rumours isn't ever going to be used again. We have a new winner for worst stadium in the Prem, by a long distance. It may have been a bargain, but WHU may really regret moving this pig's ear of stadium. It will be VERY empty when Ipswich or Leeds come to town. Aren't they holding the next athletics world championships there? yes in 2017

Upton Park used to be a real atmospheric ground, especially with a big London derby under the floodlights. The Olympic Stadium is a joke. The trouble with the Chelsea League Cup game was grossly exaggerated. The real trouble will be when Spurs go there or god forbid if they draw Millwall in the FA Cup.
