Good day out, just a shame made to walk miles back to Stratford International for train home! I assume Stoke provided free bus transport today? There are a lot of Stokies like myself who don't live near Stoke and in a case like today it would be good if the club would provide transport from places like Euston and King's Cross to the London grounds, like the buses from Stoke town to to the bet365 (but I wish they would run a bus from Stoke station). To be fair the free away coaches from Stoke are a generous enough gesture as it is, I think expecting them to offer free shuttle buses for exiled Stokies is asking a bit much. Living away from Stoke is a choice, often made because there are better job opportunities and nicer places to live elsewhere in the country. The club can't be expected to pay to subsidise fans who for whatever reason have chosen to live away from Stoke. Many of them earning more than local Stoke fans too because of said better jobs.

Well I live over the water from the Olympic stadium where the cockney squatters are currently holed up and I asked SCFC for a cab to take me there today and they said no! NO!!!

By far and away the worst FOOTBALL stadium i've been to, and i've been the likes of Hartlepool, Exeter and other toilets.
Pathetic ground.

The Olympic stadiums like a beautiful girl with no personality Good to look at but once that's worn off you're not left with much The London Stadiums like a beautiful woman...very very expensive.

Surreal experience today.
On the way we got escorted by police, there was only about 20 fans, and none threatening at all.
Long walk to and from the station, it looks really close but no easy access.
Men in the women's toilets because there is a gents sign above it around the corner.
All away fans in a fairly small concourse.
More police there today than stoke fans! Never seen so many in one place.
It's a very nice looking ground, but very poorly adapted for football. I loved the old ground it had a great feel.
I don't know if it will improve over time, but it's a really poor away game now.

I thought the police were ok today, they were only needed when our own fans felt like they needed to be knobs. The ground is inadequate for football but that then puts a strain on the people who have to police it and work there

Coming out from the concourse across the flooring before the seating area in the lower section, you look down and see all the old broken Olympic seats still in situ. Very shoddy and must be a safety issue as metal barriers and tarpaulin the only protection from a long fall down
Shame for the West Ham fans as it really does feel like it has just been shoved together. Never a football stadium
It clearly is causing issues amongst their fans as there were a few having a shouting match on the way back re the issues around the ground

I thought it was a great stadium and will be a fantastic home for West Ham. Everything needs time to bed in and get the systems right. And the atmosphere will be better once they're not a piss poor side.

By far and away the worst FOOTBALL stadium i've been to, and i've been the likes of Hartlepool, Exeter and other toilets. Pathetic ground. Spot on. Looks great and I would have loved to have seen the Olympics there, but they have no chance of making it suitable for football. Talking to their fans in the endless train queue they were really pissed off about it. I really struggle to see how they can sort it out to be honest, other than as Paul Fletcher said, flatten it and start again (with their own money)

Stratford station is not able to cope with that amount of people going through it. I go there regularly and the passageways to the overground are far to narrow and chaotic even at peak times of the day for commuters. Stratford international isn't that far and it only take 8 minutes to get to St Pancras, then 10 mins walk to Euston.

From the outside, it looks a good stadium and access was very good. Didn't see any programme sellers and we just gave up in the end. The number of stewards/police we asked suggested they were on sale inside - they weren't. Initial stadium inside seemed fine, but lacked really anything to do with West Ham. Facilities once things busied up were woeful and most people spent all of half time queueing up for toilets or for something to eat. The toilet entrance was a strange one, a maze like gents and yet a tiny little entrance way. Pitch side was no better at all, a soulless experience and the stadium seemed to have very little to do with WHU. Strange moat like areas between sections of the seats and the upper tiers. No effort at all has been made to cover bare concrete with even some sort of advert, you could have been in any stadium, it was that bad. Miles away view not helped by a running track that according to most rumours isn't ever going to be used again. We have a new winner for worst stadium in the Prem, by a long distance. It may have been a bargain, but WHU may really regret moving to this pig's ear of stadium. It will be VERY empty when Ipswich or Leeds come to town.

Very strange set up with the official coach parking a good 5 mins walk from the ground with very little signage directing people.
This resulted in people clambering down grass banks on the way in and up steep grass banks over fences on the way out, when there are steps which could be used further down.
All it needed on the way in was a sign at the top of the steps directing fans or even the stewards directing people that way instead of telling them to carry on along the top.
No prices or anything on show on the food outlets and no real signage showing what was available where. The staff seemed clueless and couldn't turn the till on properly.
The distance from the pitch along with the split in the fans upper/lower led to a poor atmosphere at most times.

Think where the buses parked up may only be temporary looked like parking for the construction gang Monday to Friday.I was on the first bus that had to follow a bloke on a push bike to the parking (modern technology). The concourse area was crap no thought gone into it for the footballing punter no TVs well non showing football just adverts,no where to put your pint down while you ate.And no beer on sale just fizzy lager.

So perhaps just this single event, that has already been planned. Still at rumour level though.

In what way would the two Davids and Karren get their desserts, if WHU are relegated?
They have got their personal millions and, incredibly, if the club is relegated, the deal ensures that it will pay even less towards the stadium. I kid you not.

It needs nuking.

I thought the floodlights were poor (not all on) and the pitch really slow. It needs nuking. Not sure what the problem is regarding the pitch with these new big stadiums. It took Wembley literally years to produce a pitch that was somewhat decent and most people still think it's on the slow side. Definitely a hindrance to players like Payet and Lanzini that's for sure.
