You would have to start by assuming Huth Wilson and Wolly had a fair point and change everything defensively .
I don't know and I think that's why the board will go for someone like Steve Bruce or Mike Phelan . Someone who would know where to start with sorting out the defense
Personally I would go ...
Given shawx Indi Pieters Johnson Allen Adam Whelan Arnie Bony Diouf
with Diouf dropping back Big Mamma style when we lose the ball and the centre mid retuning the ball to him 5 yards ahead of him, for Diouf to run on to

I'd change the keeper I've never seen Bachman or the Derby guy but I'd play one of them regardless. I'd play Shawcross and Indi as CB's. I'd restore Erik if I hadn't got the balls to play Taylor Left back. Johnson Right Back Bardsley if Glen wasn't fit. I'd play Allen CM paired with Imbula who'd still have the bruises from where I'd run round the training pitch all week after him with a big fucking stick. Arnie and Sobhi wide with licence to swap sides Shaq in the hole if fit, if not Diouf up top with Bony. If Shaq was fit I'd persevere with Bony for 5 or 6 games minimum with Diouf as his first change. I'd get two young hungry players on the bench every week and I'd contact the nearest donkey sanctuary to see how many vacancies they had.

Derby guy Lee Camp is a decent keeper
I feel a little sorry for Given ... he's had a horrendous defending in front of him ... people heading in corners and free kicks unchallenged
But Lee Camp is not Haugaard . He is a decent keeper

I'd go
Grant
Johnson Shawcross Indi Muniesa
Adam
Sobhi Allen Arnie
Diouf Bony
Given, Bardsley, pieters, imbula, lecygne, bojan, shaq/crouch
Play it on the floor if there are options when there are no options launch the fucking thing a 1000 times until diouf or bony get on the end of it and do something.
But before all that the players would be running and doing set play pieces until the Friday

He is a decent keeper Lee Camp may well be a decent keeper. Trouble is that he plays for Rotherham. (Lee Grant is a fairly dependable stopper but not a long or even medium-term solution for a top flight side).

No more Walters on the wing. He is shit there. If you play him at all play him in the middle. Play Arnie / Sobhi as side switching wingers and TWO up front. Bony and Shaq, Bojan or Mame playing of him. Also don't make a decent looking centre half play in an unfamiliar position in only his second premier league game. And Charlie for Glen. PLEASE

Grant
Johnson Shawcross Indi Muniesa
Allen Adam Imbula
Arnie
Diouf Bony
.. I honestly don't know if it would be the answer but my thinking behind it is we need to be on the front foot, more aggressive and direct, not Pulis direct but getting from 'A to B' a lot quicker. Give the ball to Adam and get him putting the ball in behind for Diouf and into Bony's feet quickly, spreading the ball out wide for the full backs to get forward and put some fucking crosses into the box for 2 strikers to attack. Arnie is clearly frustrated so we need to give him a free role to express himself and I think that's best playing off the strikers with Shaqiri injury and Bojan out of sorts. Imbula, oh Imbula, get the ball and drive forward, do what you do better than anyone else. Also, barring injury of course, keep the same back 4 together.

would move back Indi to centre half, recall Pieters. Cameron needs dropping. I would then play Allen alongside Adam in the deep roles in midfield. I would then play Sobhi right midfield, stick with Bojan in the number 10 role and Arnie out left, leaving Bony up top.
So I would drop Walters, Whelan and Cameron
I have never been a fan of chopping and changing too much, I think its important that you have continuity but right now several players really need to start performing and straight away
As for the Hull game it would be perfect to give Adam, Sobhi, Muniesa and even one or two young guns such as Taylor, Lecgylne and N'Goy a bit of a go. I know this is a competition we have our eye on, but right now we need to stop the rot

what would be your first change on the pitch? Cut the grass shorter . Fuck that let it grow to knee length and watch teams struggle on it. We'd play long ball every single time over the top have Diouf and Walters up there running at it every time. Shoot on sight as well. If we go 1-0 up park the bus. Don't care what it looks like now just want some pints!!! edit: some *points* would be nice to.

In the short term:
* Stick Grant in goal * Get a defensive coach * Get the players fitter * Work on set pieces at both ends * Cage the central midfield * Bony and Diouf up top with instructions to the wingers to swing crosses in at every opportunity
In short tighten up and grind out results
