No, no we don't It'd acryally laughable. Ageing pros are early 30s we go for for mid 30s players who relied on industry and sharpness and who are clearly finished.... Like Barry Bannan yesterday who pulled all of the strings for SW and made our midfield look like fools. I thought Bannon was everywhere yesterday and he rarely lost the ball or gave it away. Class. I had a look at their forum and there’s a thread suggesting he is so past it he should be put down. Very mixed views on his performance.

Look at what Glen Murray did at various clubs. You only need one man to bang them in. who cares how old he is.

Best player on the pitch by a mile Stoke are desperate for on the pitch leadership It's not impossible to sign an experienced player who isn't past it Rodriguez clearly the right character but looks like he'd struggle to play regular re fitness and don't think the central striker should be that experienced pro

How much money have we hemorrhaged on Wesley and Ennis and had the return of the square root of fuck all? The right deal would be OK with me.

I fookn despair, so many on here still regarding us as the ‘last chance saloon’ so let’s carry on doing what we’ve always done but this time it’ll be a different outcome!!🙄🙄🙄

Ennis, peanuts Wesley an absolute fortune Shankland was suggested, he'd be very affordable

I love Jay Rodriguez -a player who I've always thought would play for us at some point but so point many years ago.
If this is true, John Coates wants sectioning.

We need to look at hungry strikers from the lower leagues or abroad. Better value.

I would prefer us to go for Danny Ings, he knows where the net is and gets stuck in. He can't have many years left but he would be very good at this level still

He isn't playing much anymore and the championship looks more like his level now for regular football. A loan deal would do depending on his price tag. We have to stay up first anyway

Danny Ings that signed for West Ham last year for £15 million?! And who has scored 1 in 11 since signing and never starts It seems like there are a few levels he could go to before a relegation contender in the league below. Luton, for example (whichever league they end up in), are a lot more attractive and have a lot more money than us.

Danny Wellbeck would be a similar option to Rodriguez.
I’d prefer him but subject to any injury concerns, Rodriguez is a very good player. He’s seemingly always on the bench at Burnley so he’s clearly consistently fit for selection

He’s seemingly always on the bench at Burnley so he’s clearly consistently fit for selection is he? that changes it then, if he's generally fit then he might be a good option but really want someone who's going to score at least 10 league goals, if he came in & did that great
