Seemingly is available, he'd be great here and I would much prefer him over Berahino tbh.
One for the left wing for TP.

Hmm not seen much of since his return from injury and I actually cant remember what sort of forward he is. He wasn't blessed with pace from what I remember but he was decent technically.

Agree but it's our age old problem of his injury worries. Presumably would be much cheaper than Berhainio. But if Mellor is still his agent, surely we would have been in if interested already?

Gary Mellor's his agent, isn't he?
So we'd certainly have an inside track. Is he the same player post-injury? We won't know til he gets a run, but Soton don't seem to trust him to start?
But if him going to WBA ensures Berahino comes, that's what Hughes still seems to have his heart set on.

Thought you were averse to us signing injury prone players?
They don't come more injury prone than jay Rodriguez.

Good player but Big risk injury / fitness wise so would have to be a no for that reason alone. Surely this could free up Bera.

Thought you were averse to us signing injury prone players? They don't come more injury prone than jay Rodriguez. He's had a big injury, that can happen to anyone and doesn't make them injury prone. Never has done. His record before that watching from afar seemed OK? He always seemed to be scoring for Burnley.

He's recovered from his long term injury a season ago and has barely played since.
He's missed the best part of 3 seasons hasn't he?
Good player but he's dean Ashton all over again.

But he seems to be coming back from this one in a good enough time. If he has had lots of other problems then yeah maybe avoid. He's a bloody fine player though and would actually work for TP on the wing, the bastard.

He's never recovered from his ACL properly! He did it before the World Cup and we are 2 years since then and he has hardly played since!
Look at Bojan post ACL - not quite the same player! There are lots of examples where players don't recover to the same level after this injury!
Therefore I would leave him well alone, like wise with Danny Ings!

Worryingly he could be used with Southampton as a part exchange deal to berahino and we miss out?
