Are they all crap or is it the system ,i wonder if things would be different if we played 2 up front.
Not a lover of this 4-2-3-1 with our players.

Time to ditch the 4-2-3-1 and go 4-3-3.

Some have pace, some have power, some have aerial strength and some have skill/technique
None of them have all the qualities and some have only one or two
Theyre a strange bunch, a bit like the unwanted presents you got for xmas sometimes. Not necessarily crap but just not what you really need at the time.
Its a funny one, the manager is just so focused on the middle third rather than either end.
Early days and a couple of decent signings change the entire picture

If our golden boys hadn't spent the afternoon ignoring Diouf we might not be having this conversation.

I don't see Arnie as a true striker, more in that space between midfield & forward line.

I said similar at half time. Diouf made about 20 runs first half and didn't get the ball once. All very odd

First half it wouldn't have mattered who we had up front, there was no service and this is our issue 80% of the time which is why I think the big cry out for a striker isn't the answer. It's a strange one because with Shaqiri Bojan and Arnie behind whoever is upfront you'd think we'd be creating plenty. Walters came on and seemed to get a bit more of the ball but looked pretty terrible, running into people most the time. I honestly believe with Diouf we have a 15 goal striker, he makes the runs and has enough about him, we just need the three behind to actually give him the ball once in a while when he makes one of his many runs!
