Just found this online, one of the better games from the final season at the Victoria Ground. I had a VHS copy many years ago (it was live on Sky) but the tape snapped from overplaying the last ten minutes

Brilliant early own goal from Nigel Worthington. He didn't last long after that and Andy Griffin eventually came in to replace him.

The commentary doesn't do it justice but it was a fantastic comeback, Shezza's goals came on 77 and 85 minutes. Brian Horton's face was priceless at full time (then Huddersfield manager)

Graham kavanagh was absolutely magnificent that day. Whatever happened to Tom Cowan? I really liked him at the time.

Tom Cowan went onto play for Huddersfield for many years before dropping down the leagues and into non league, he went onto become a firefighter

I was sat at home in Cambridge and said to my then wife just going round my mates be back in time for the game (was live on TV). Jumped on my motorbike rode straight to Stoke to watch the game at the Vic. Came out of the Stoke shop and Sky Sports reporter asks me how I think Stoke will play so I answered. My son at home shouts mum, dad is on the telly, she walks into the front room - ooopps rumbled haha that didn't really go down that well when I got home lmfao. Great game though and worth the nagging hours later
