Just seen on twitter that West Brom have changed 96 seats in the away end to the colour red. They are this way as respect to the folks who died in the Hillsborough disaster. Each seat will have a named plaque for each victim.
Congratulations to them for doing this. Fair play.
Maybe they could have a plaque on the toilet seats with the names of senior police officers. Just a thought.

Don't get it at all personally.
West brom has zero to do with Liverpool or hillsborough.
Perhaps we can have a tribute to the busby babes in our stadium? Makes as much sense.......

In 1946, thirty three people lost their lives attending a Bolton Wanderers v Stoke City FA Cup game. If we were going to do anything like suggested, don't you think that this disaster should take precedence?

I think it is a nice touch. I'm sure that Liverpool fans - especially those who fought so hard for justice for the 96 - will appreciate the gesture.
Personally, I hope that Duckenfield and the others guilty of dereliction of duty, lies, slander and the cover ups of 27 years ago, notice the gesture and have the good grace to feel ashamed. Hopefully justice in the criminal courts won't be delayed for much longer.
And another thing, I wonder if and when Phil Scraton is going to be honoured by his country. He's spent half a life time working so hard to expose truth to the light of day. Surely a Knighthood (at the very least) will be coming his way sooner rather than later? I'd give him a life Peerage then he can sit in the House of Lords and continue his fight on behalf of football fans in this country.

Fuck me what is it with people? West Brom didn't have to do this, yes there has been other disasters in recent history but why can't folk just see it for what it is just a very nice gesture.
With Hillsborough in the recent news and with the wheels of justice finally turning they may feel it's a fitting time to make this tribute to the victims, no more no less.....

Canadian. If they ever put any tributes to anything to do with Manu ( being polite for once), in our stadium,I will personally rip them out myself!

I agree, the recent programme Hillsborough Tragedy to Truth was unbelievable. The determination and courage of Phil Scraton to stand up to the Police and Establishment who clearly wanted this "swept under the carpet" was amazing.I'm going to buy his book but it's very expensive.Don't ever expect Duckenfield and his cronies to ever feel ashamed for their attempted cover-up, I just hope they end up in prison where they deserve to be but I don't that will ever happen.

Jesus there's some cunts on here that have never heard that expression about not having anything good to say.
I'm not one for over sentimentality, but given the conclusion 96 families came to this season- it's a rather nice touch from WBA and they should be applauded for it, not sneered at.

It's a pity WBA didn't actively support the J4THE21 campaign which did and still does affect some of their support, but they've put in 96 red seats for Liverpool well done them

Not sure I agree with this TBH.
The revised verdict was a little while ago now and Liverpool have played since. If it was the game after the verdict I think it's a bit OTT (even a minutes silence seems OTT to me).
The tragedy happened 27 years ago and whoever was at fault (and now we know it was Policing errors made many times worse by a monster cover up) many many innocent fans lost their lives. We will remember the 96 who lost their lives and the many others whose lives will be permanently scarred by what happened, but imho we need to stop prolonging the pain and begin to move on.

How about 56 purple & orange/yellow seats?????????????????????? Fuck them, it's only Bradford!!! I don't think anyone is saying that and also misses the point. The circumstances at Bradford were just a tragic, but the struggle for 26 years to get some form of justice should rightly be recognized. It's a good gesture. I for one would be most appreciative if another club took time to recognize this if such a tragedy, followed by the lies spread for 26 years had happened to my club (which of course I would hope never happened).

Some of the comments on here say far more about what bitter, nasty cunts the posters are than it says anything about west brom!
1) west brom aren't playing bradford you thick fuckers so bradford has fuck all to do with it 2) it's west brom that make the gesture so you slag of liverpool for not remembering heysel? What kind of fucking braindead logic is that???? 3) a lot of the liverpool fans there tomorrow will personally have known those that died and/or those that fought for 27 years just to get the truth what happened out of the authorities. What's wrong with showing a bit of respect towards them exactly?
They're doing something decent out of respect...seems a lot on here have no idea what that word even means as they're too busy desperately trying to find something/someone to moan at 24/7!
Embarrassment to this board some posters are. Really does beggar belief the levels some will stoop to just to make snidey comments. Trolling from nasty, thick pricks is alive and well on the oatcake it would seem!!!
