Amongst all the adulation for Leicester's achievement let's not forget the role Spurs played in what has to be said has been the best title race I can remember, no multi billionaire bank rolled clubs fighting it out, the top 2 have really stuck it to the usual suspects and how refreshing its been. Some great football played by Spurs too IMO better on the eye than Leicester's, the emergence of some great young talent Dier and Alli to name a couple and probably the best English striker since Shearer in Kane. I have a feeling they will be challenging again for the title next season if they can keep their team together and Pochettino at the helm. Gouranga.

I would give them a lot of credit for how they seem to have moved from typical hit and miss Spurs , they look a strong team with lots of young English players and I cna only see them getting better , they all put a shift in with no big time charlies even amongst their flair players .
I think they will do well next season as they mature as a group

I really wanted Spurs to win after they turned us over the other week. They've played great football all season, can they do it again next season or will they fall into the same old Spurs and be inconsistent?

They possess some great, exuberant talents undoubtedly, hope they haven't been mentally flattened by falling in the home straight and can pick themselves up for the Euro's.
If the last twenty or so minutes last night were anything to go by they need to work on the temperaments of one or two for next season as I think they'll be up there again, and it could be a tense run-in again.

So are we, your point being? Gouranga. You've contradicted yourself mate. Leicester are as well. Leicester's Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha had a net worth of $2.9 billion in February of this year, whilst Spurs owner Joe Lewis had a net worth of £4.9 billion last year. The romance of the beautiful game.

So are we, your point being? Gouranga. You've contradicted yourself mate. Leicester are as well. I think there's a difference between being owned by a billionaire and being bankrolled by a multi billionaire who doesn't bat an eyelid at throwing a billion £ to buy a title or cup. Just thought I'd explain but I somehow think you already knew that. Gouranga.

While not a usual challenger Spurs can't be called a small club. Or medium sized. Second biggest in London and actually huge.

Spurs have had a net spend of -£53.7m over the last 5 seasons put that against man City's +£313.5m Liverpool's +£163.35m Chelsea's +£198.7 Manure's +£288.3m and Arsenals +£102.3. Do you get my point? Oh and just to add that Stokes net spend in the last 5 years is +£64.4 (+£23.45 of it being spent by Hughes) Gouranga.

i don't think they have been unlucky - they had their chances and didn't take them. But I agree with your general point that Spurs have had a good campaign this term.
Most teams in the top flight are "bankrolled" to some degree - it's what you do with it. I like the fact they have a strong English contingent, a strong emphasis on youth and play attractive football.
Pocchetino is a good manager. He fell short this time but I wouldn't bet against him winning the Prem sometime during his new term of contract nor against having a decent run in the Champions League

I just don't see Spurs winning the league. Never have. Them and Everton were competing for it in 1985 and you knew they would fall short. Still the same.

I would have said the same until last night where they totally embarrassed themselves.
Set a new PL record of nine players booked in one game.
They also look like they'll have 3 retrospective bans coming (Lamela understandably wanting to stand on Fabregas, Dembele's poke in the eye and Walker throwing blood at Costa).

I think they allowed themselves to get wound up. Chelsea were at them from the first second and Spurs totally lost it. It's a shame as it was probably these actions which threw away the title.

Maybe but they were a disgrace last night and at least 3 players should have retrospective bans

Be interesting to see the odds on Leicester next season. Prob more fancied to go down than win it again, probably more fancied to go down than get a top 6 place TBH... A bloke from paddy power was on talksport earlier. There 33/1 to retain the title and 7th favourite to go down. Burnley will be 1000/1 to win the title next year and that will be the longest odds they offer

People still talking about this team like they're an average side that fluked their way to victory. They are ahead by 7 points and have won it with two games to spare. That is comfortable. They have also shown that same consistency over the past 18 months.

It must be like winning the lottery only to find you are sharing with 20 others.
Hilarious. They won't be this close again in years

I like the fact that because Leicester and Spurs will occupy two of the top four spots, it will mean two of the so-called 'big boys' will not. Lubby Jubbly.
*Note. Just wish West Ham had made it and Arsenal had been pushed out. That would have been even better.

I wanted Spurs to win to try and alleviate the media jizz-fest over everything Leicester. Yesterday on the sky sports app, I counted 29, YES TWENTY NINE articles about Leicester.
