Great when on the ball, can go past players with ease, but he does overdo it sometimes, instead of releasing the ball earlier.

He was utter wank today, didn't seem to care and was useless off the ball. 2-1 down and he trys stupid skills trying to take everyone on, he lost the ball almost everytime he got it and should have been taken off instead of charlie. Really don't understand why hughes continues to play him because he has been crap for the past month. There's definitely signs of a quality player, looked brilliant when we first signed him looking world class against Bournemouth, Watford and Chelsea so hopefully he will learn and come good next season when hes more familiar with the language and english football but he pissed me off so much today

Hughes's Crouch/Palacios moment...? I thought this earlier but hopefully Hughes will not be afraid to drop him. He has a special gift of charging through a midfield with the ball and totally opening up the other team. I can see why Hughes was eager to bring him over. But off the ball today he is so fucking bad its untrue. He really needs a lot of coaching and fitness work.

There is no doubt in my mind that the signing of Crouch & Palacios contributed to Toxic's downfall. Not just that but probably one of the things that irked the Chairman and lead to him closing the warchest. For 18 million, Imbula had better pull up some trees next season or Coates will not be so forthcoming with more money for his manager.

If I was Coates the first thing I'd do is move Scholes on. I believe he holds too much power and influence. Then I'd be asking Hughes just exactly what the fuck is going on.

I really want this guy to come good but I just don't see it. It'll take more than a good pre-season to sort him out. Hopefully not another Palacios. He just doesn't seem happy.

I think I've seen a lot of good elements to his game. Carrying the ball forward he looks excellent sadly it's his defensive side of the game that lets him down. I do think he's a very good player but I think the problem we have is that he's been brought to play DM in a 4231 and he just isn't suited to that role. For me he needs to play as AM in a 433 or in a 4231. The problem we have is that Mr Bojan should be playing in that spot. I think the other problem is that he speaks no English and is very much feeling himself into the British game. Like most foreign players it takes time to adjust. I'm convinced he will come good.

I just listened to Steve Walsh and Craig Shakespeare talking after the Leicester game saying this club will not sign any Billy big bollocks players and quite rightly so.I'm afraid to say we appear to have already done this with our 2 biggest signings.I really hope they come good next season but I have my doubts right now

Imbula's signing does remind me of John Tudor! One small difference, Tudor cost £ 30.000.

Imbula takes 5 touches when he could take 2 - if we can get him out of this, he'll be a great player next season.

Hate to say it but Porto fans weren't joking when they were laughing and saying he's your problem now
There is 100% a world class player in there, but the fucker doesn't want to come out. He just can't be arsed. Plain and simple can't be arsed.
Surreal

Embarrassing the past couple of matches have been He was getting really pissed off when we kept on playing long balls. In the first half especially, his hands went up in the air a few times. At the moment, I think he doesn't trust most of the players around him. That's why he tries to do it all himself when he receives the ball.

From my view in the Calvin Palmer Memorial stand it appeared Imbula covered almost every blade of grass at Selhurst Park. He was pressing their back four when they were in possession. He tracked Mutch into the six-yard area and deflected a goalbound shot with his backside. He does have the tendency to hold on to the ball too long but a lot of that, as some other poster said, is because Stoke's attacking players are playing the statue game. Imbula in my opinion was one of the few players to emerge with any credit in another woefully inept display.

So reminiscent of the early comments about Arnie. I still think he and Shaqiri are adjusting and will judge them next season.

Why can't we give a player more than five minutes at a new club before writing him off ?
He could turn out to be a world beater..or a busted flush..
At least give him a full season eh ?

For no good reason I have more faith in Imbula's coming good than I do Shaq .....but for the present both fall firmly into the category of irritating and the fact that they are both automatic choices probably says alot about the current run of form.
