Three poor results and suddenly it's a bad season! You wanted more attacking players and was bored of TP style football so naturally we were gonna get a few humpings! Injuries have cost us a top 8 finish in not gonna lose much sleep over it!
Hughes out is embarrassing!

It's been a fucking embarrassing few weeks for the players and coach, they deserve all the fucking stick they get, just how they'd expect the plaudits if they played well.

Yep, silly season on here. Good season, nothing left to play for, injuries mounting and we get tonked by three very good sides. No great surprise, and no excuse for the staggering loss of perspective from some.

We're a premier league team, a few injuries shouldn't end our season, even with replacements we should still look to be solid and resolute?
Yes we've got injuries, yes they're big injuries but we've also put a team out that shouldn't roll over and get 4 goals slammed past them for the past 3 fucking weeks
If they play shit it should get said, it's not primary school where everyone's a winner

Hughes out is premature BUT this is a public forum and folk are entitled to vent as they feel
The players love the adulation they get for something they get very well paid for (which every fan would give their right hand to do for £200 a week) some of them deserve stick for recent performances as well.

I agree with the OP.
The team has been ripped to shreds by injuries, just look at who wasn't playing today. Plus Ryan is clearly way off his game after his injuries, others are not 100% fit.
There are some players who are not showing they have sufficient class, yes, but there is no need to panic.
Imbula was good today IMO.

Its the players that are embarrassing
The fans are happy to be in the premier league and don't mind if we win some and lose some, as long as the fight is there.
But the fight isn't there .. Arnie played with skill and pride .. bards missed out the skill thing and played with pride .. Diouf attempted to head in a corner ( wow ! ) and the rest were awful :-(

Can Hughes or the players come out at the point in each season where they decide we have nothing to play for and stop bothering to turn up, and tell us all so we can then be refunded for that amount of the season's worth of season ticket money then please? I pay my season ticket price and away ticket prices expecting to have players try for every game I've paid for. It's been an average season, wasted so many opportunities to do much better. Step backwards from last season but still can improve for next season. To describe this season as good is a little generous. I like Hughes but I am sick of seeing him sat on the bench while he makes no attempt to rectify a defeat, and when he does his subs are really poor. We've had no idea for a couple of months now. Really need to smash Sunderland to show everyone that we aren't just making up numbers for the rest of the season. |

Yes we have suffered more than our fair share of injuries this season, but we are not a poor club, so we should be able to afford decent cover.

Embarasing is exactly correct, but not just the Manager, but the un-educated fans who think that just because we are in the Premier league this is acceptable.

Bardsley was the only player trying to make a tackle, the rest didn't bother, embarrassing.
Whelan and Cameron were making 5 yard passes look the most difficult part of the game, embarrassing.
Ryan Shawcross, Our captain, Decided it was easier to drag down their striker than follow the run because he was lazy, embarrassing.
Diouf, although never gave up today (which is the bare minimum btw) has the ball control and balance of a newly born Giraffe when running with the ball, embarrassing.
And that's just the start.

This combined with insanely high wages is partly why some people react like they do. On the whole I agree with you though. |
