So onto the next game, going to take a monumental effort to get something from this and at this moment I'd take a respectable 0-2 defeat.........BUT this is Stoke, and I'm feeling positive this morning after a good nights rest.
Hughes will go defensive for this one I think and something along these lines:
Given
Bardsley Shawcross Wollscheid Muniesa
Afellay Cameron Whelan Imbula Arnautovic
Diouf
Only slight hope is that Man City rest a load of players as they've got Newcastle midweek, Bony instead of Aguero, Delph instead of de Bruyne and suddenly it feels a lot less daunting......

It's this chopping and changing which is fucking us over. Next season, we need to pick a team and stick with it.

When we beat them 2-0 at home, I was in Norwich, and guess where I will be this weekend, yep, Norwich again. That's the postive luck I can throw into the mix, I'll take a battling draw for this one.

I don't think it matters who plays. We've given up.
Surely we've got to see Shenton over the coming games though?

I'm not sure what Joselu did wrong to be dropped.

I'm not sure what Joselu did wrong to be dropped. He was ill before the Liverpool game and not able to start in fairness

Afellay will be solid and disciplined , my point being that after the last 2 games Hughes will look to be solid and make it difficult for Man City

It ain't gonna be pretty.
We can only hope they will settle for third spot and go on holiday like our lot did 3 weeks ago.

I think we've gone as a team this season. I wish the season was over to be honest. Quite depressing, isn't it? My worst nightmare is getting hammered by the big clubs!

Man City won't rest anybody mate ....they need to nail 3rd place to ensure no tricky champions league play off game and they also need to nail their fall back of 4th

4-0 loss. Again there will be a change up front, just praying that Hughes begins to play one striker for a run of games next season

Muniesa will play I don't see that we have much. Afellay will be solid and disciplined , my point being that after the last 2 games Hughes will look to be solid and make it difficult for Man City Yes we have to go back to basics so I think Hughes will field the same formation he used against Bournemouth or Watford. Bring in Diouf for Shaq. Bench Bojan & Affelay & push Imbula upto CAM. Muniesa's positioning is just awful & he is far from a premier league standard defender. I would suggest we give a chance to one of the U21 kids, just to inject some life into the rest of the team. They can't be any worse than Muniesa, plus they'll get the crowd going.

I'm going for a supremely unfathomable team selection including Crouch up-top for this one.
If that's the case, at least it'll be a laugh :/

Bench bojan, scorer of our last two and finding his way back to form, and afellay, our best player last night and the most consistent player since xmas ? Glad you aren't our manager. Muniesa is a better footballer than wolly and can play alongside shawx.

I expect us to at least go there and fashion some chances which we never did under Pulis, after all its a bonus game which equates to we bend over and take it from minute one without fighting back!!

To me, our only chance is if they still think its a Sunday game and don't bloody well turn up? Although their women's team could beat us at the minute (scoring four goals obviously) if they were due to play on Saturday?
