Because the ex-manager was up for every game was he? Bonus games? Valencia? Short memories these rimmers. An away game. Most people are more concerned at what happens at home. you've got to admit the players and management will be largely judged by games they see. Just away games? You sure? Hypocrisy mate.

We've had too many injuries to our backline to overcome, couple that with losing Jack and you can't really expect us to compete. It's getting a little old finishing 9th, but they're continuing to spend money to improve the team so I don't see any reason to complain right now.

For how much we have had to chop and change the line up, after a slow start, I think we have done well.

Worst season in the premier league... I despair of some of the shit on here... Fine, be pissed about the last few results but calling it the worst season in the premier league is absolute and utter bollocks.

My expectations, given the signings we made were through the fucking roof and the squad fucking blew it. Nothing more than a bunch of fucking bottlers.
Looking at the current table I'm fucking fuming. Each and every team this season bar the top 3 have been fucking abysmal and we failed to take advantage....
We've had some serial under performers, shaqiri, imbula, bojan and Afelley have performed far short of their expectations. A handful of decent performances between the lot of em.
To say it's the worst season in the prem? Not even close. But to think i enjoyed watching delap and co more than these so called world beaters is fucking depressing.....
But if we are comparing squads....let's discuss this bunch of bottlers to the Cup final/Europa league squad, fucking loved watching them back then pulisball and all.

27 goals scored in Hughes first season at home. 32 the second (last season) and 19 this.
Away goals are at 18 currently with two away games at Citeh and Palace remaining. We've hovered around 16 to 18 during Hughes's reign.

27 goals scored in Hughes first season at home. 32 the second (last season) Which provided us with an excellent 36 points at home in his first season and a very decent 33 points in his second. Collapse is too strong a word but our home form has taken a massive step backwards this season.

How the fucking fuck can anyone claim that Imbula has been a serial underperformer? He's played less than a dozen games* and he's been ace in half of them.
*LESS THAN A DOZEN FUCKING GAMES

On the contrary I would say a lot of the reaction is down to the fact that the rest of the season did happen - in particular the disappointing and rather dull home season.

It is the worst season because we all expected more, under the old manager we knew how we would play 442 keep it tight and if we won 1-0 then he was happy.Under MH we all expected attacking football with good movement and plenty of goals, what we have ended up with is a manager who does not know is best formation or how to use his subs.I don't want to go back to the old ways but we do need better organisation better tactics and play two forwards at home.

We unloaded the thick end of £30 million on just 2 new players this season as well, unprecedented financial largesse for this football club, I think the hope was they would help nudge us yet further on but events have conspired against us and I don't think there can be anyone who won't be relieved when the curtain finally comes down on a campaign which promised much but just ran out of gas somewhere down the road.

IMHO yes we've had a couple of rousing performances but you can count them on 1 hand, the rest has been average, dross, embarrassing even abject. We've scraped a few good wins that have flattered to deceive but more than often we've been unexciting. There doesn't seem to be much fight in the team nor much passion and far too often we've raised the white flag. £40m + spent and we've not gone 1 inch forward in the quality of football on offer this season. At the moment we are looking and playing like an injured dog that need to be put out of its misery. There needs to be a big shake up for next season or we could be struggling if that happens how long before Hughes' position is under threat the supporters start to call for his head and our better players start looking for another club? Its so fucking frustrating because we have the personnel to do something great and play exciting football at the same time, some of the best players we've ever had in the last 40 years but sometimes they look like they've never kicked a ball together. Gouranga. I didn't realise that you were the real Albert Tatlock who must be over one hundred by now and the signs of dementure are fairly clear! They say that with your type of mental illness that you start living and thinking in a period some twenty or thirty years earlier. You have my sympathy! It cannot be easy for you especially at a time when the club is at its zenith. What a sad irony that you think you are watching Chris Kamara manage a Stoke team rather the Super Quality players that we have at our disposal.

That's why it's been a toss season at the Brit because MH has these so called super stars available and we have turned in three decent home performances all season, what price do think we could get for not winning another game this season.

I love how all these rimmers are calling this season shit, calling out the manager, slaughtering the players YET we have still outperformed their hero with 4 games to go.
What a bunch of colossal pipes. Talk about mugging yourself off.
