He needs to change his mind at the very last second and go the opposite way to where he was going to go.

Sorensen was phenomenal for penalties Remember the double save away v Cardiff on day 1 of the promotion season. Gotta wonder why some great keepers are naff at penalties and some of lower ability (no disrespect but Sorensen) make saving them look pretty easy

Yeah that was Simmo. But Sorro was immense at saving penalties, some keepers just have the knack I guess. I can't remember any Begovic penalty saves, not to say there isn't any, I just can't remember them.
Anyone thinking that Bego in goal for a while weakens Chelsea slightly, y'know, in the race for 9th?

I wouldn't think so given Courtois has done nothing this season to make you think he's playing with any consistency.

Talking of excellent keepers who seemed to have no idea with penalties, does anyone recall who Shilton's only penalty save for us was against? An extra point if you also name the taker.

I see he went the wrong way for the pen' as usual. s Are you talking about a player that we signed, "earned a wage"more often than not, we made a transfer profit on, I was always an excellent public ambassador for SCFC and left us (perhaps mistakenly) to progress his personal career or are you one of a few that wants to continually snipe at an ex player. Plus, Before someone comes on here and suggests he refused to play, no one on here knows diddly shit. Bego whatever he was/is was a valuable player that helped secure our Premiership status.

In a couple of year's time, the same posters will be expressing exactly the same sentiments when Butland is plying his trade at a Champions League club
