Reminds me a little of prime U2. I've just been playing this, the track that got me into them, fantastic cover.

Absolutely brilliant, love Jeff, one of the most memorable gigs was watching him do a twenty mins delta blues thing under or near a church in Manchester. If you ain’t heard lucky Jim I highly recommend

Mark Greoubert is a Hollywood moocher, drug counsellor, private investigator, historian. 'America's Untold Stories' offers fascinating 'insider' insights into the weeds of showbiz.. Interesting stuff regarding the rise and demise of Elliot Smith..

That's great I didn't realise they are touring now, from what I've seen on yt etc their gigs look brill. It'd be the best context for me, I have friends who are really into them, BJM seem to inspire acolytes; I've been subjected to a lot of stereo hogging by them. Such a vaast back catalogue, much of which I'm pretty ambivalent towards. There are many highlights and just noticed they're at The Ritz, that should be great, intimate enough etc. Have fun..

Well there was nothing wrong with the music or playing however it's got to be up there with the worst crowd I've seen, so many of them only stopped talking to vape Part of it was self inflicted between each track there was a two minute interval to prepare/have a drag on a vape by which time the noise of conversation filled the room again virtually no introduction or engagement with the audience, really odd. I thought the crowd were shit during the support band but a fair whack of them continued through the main event. Halfway through having already moved I went upstairs but it was equally noisy up there. There were people not even looking at the stage why bother to go to a gig.

Sorry to hear that, hipster wankers eh? I bet it weren't cheap either. A mate had a similar experience in Manc seeing Viagra Boys. All going swimmingly but as they kicked into 'Sports' the crowd in unison chucked their drinks in the air, my mate watched the trajectory of a full pint of water/ale hit the centre of the mixing desk, shorting everything.. Fat lad lay on stage for half an hour while the electrickery was sorted. They restarted but the momentum was completely lost, fizzled out, the very definition of a damp squib.. At least you've seen 'em, will you go to the Manc Psych thing sept? I'm contemplating it but also like the look of the Bluedot Jodrell line up.. Pavement. I look at my Viccy Hall ticket stubs £1.50/2.00 and weep....

I've got a ticket to see them at Rock City next Sunday the plan is to go nearer to the front hopefully in amongst the lot that want to see and hear them.
