Andrea: “What can I do to make you love me?” Me: “Nothing at all! I already do.” 😍

Andrea: “What can I do to make you love me?” Me: “Nothing at all! I already do.” 😍 I given you a Like for that one, not just because the girls are so lovely, but also because they can sing and play and have made some really nice records. And you sure as hell are not going to get any Likes for Daniel O’F***inDonnell

I don’t understand why? He’s so talented! Never mind, I’ll keep plugging way 😊

My lad loves the Kinks but he thinks this is better than Lola My best mate is a massive kinks fan and thinks the same! In his words: "WS is lyrically sublime and paints a picture that became the backdrop to mine and so many others' lives..." suppose as a London boy, there's a special resonance for him?He loves Lola too, thinking it illustrates Davies' throwaway brilliance for songwriting,"Davies having a bit of fun.." but not possessing the same gravitas as Waterloo Sunset. But then I think they're both trumped by 'Village Green...' and 'Days' so who knows? 😂 Well be sure not to let him know that when Ray Davies originally wrote the lyric it was about Liverpool, he titled it 'Liverpool Sunset' but the record company thought it would be commercially more viable if he switched Liverpool for Waterloo.

I was absolutely the right age in absolutely the right era when it came out That second sentence had such fantastic potential to mean something completely different, if only you had inadvertently and accidentally missed the letter 't' off the word 'it' ... especially considering the subject matter!

After all these years i don't know if i'm sociopathic enough to do it Paul...😂

... saw The Kinks live in 1979 at the The Hammersmith Palais. Chrissie Hynde from The Pretenders stood next to me for the whole gig. Very nice. She was with Ray Davies at the time. My then Mrs didn’t like it much

Both are but (mere?!) progeny: 😉 Just both? Bo Diddley's I'm A Man sounds a lot more like Little Red Rooster than The Jean Genie To Me! Talk of plagiarism and Bo Diddley reminded me of this catchy little number on the B-side of Talk Of The Town. I guess you can't copyright a syncopated musical beat...
