Now you're talking Wonderful song. And what a great sound, great credit to his band and his producer the late Gus Dudgeon. And what a run of albums he made around that time: 72 Honky Chateau 73 Don't Shoot Me 73 Goodbye Yellow Brick Road 74 Caribou 75 Captain Fantastic He really was on a roll, quite remarkable that he produced so much great music in a relatively short space of time. You've nailed the diamonds amongst the jewels of Elton 70's albums for me although Rock of the westies & Blue Moves had some excellence tracks.. The eighties started the slow decline of real quality that was shown on the albums you've highlighted, although again some great stuff all the way through Elton / Taupins career, the best songwriting / composing duo ever in my opinion.. Love it..

Just oh so good and I love the way she discreetly shuffles back to be with her colleagues as the song ends ...

When an Old Cricketer Leaves the Crease. Roy Harper. Just relaxing. Blimey, I was listening to this about an hour ago ... played at both Peel's and Walters' funerals.

I love the lyrics to this.. 'I waited for something, but something died, so I waited for nothing and nothing arrived' what a great line.. I saw them in Manchester Cathedral last year excellent band and that was the track that initially kindled my interest.

Yep, West Coast could have been Written in the early 70's the stand out track being American Triangle for me amazing song sung with real emotion about a tragic homophobic murder in Wyoming..
