Apparently one of DB's favourite songs to sing, utterly spellbinding: It's incredible isn't it? But having loved it since I was kid, it was only very recently (within the last 12 months), that I discovered it is actually a cover version.

Don't know if you've seen this before but it is brilliant, why they didn't decide to tour the world with it, I have absolutely no idea, it's phenomenal ...

I like Nina Simone's take on it,but neither that or the original come close to Bowie's version,it just blows me away, every time.

Now you're talking Wonderful song. And what a great sound, great credit to his band and his producer the late Gus Dudgeon. And what a run of albums he made around that time: 72 Honky Chateau 73 Don't Shoot Me 73 Goodbye Yellow Brick Road 74 Caribou 75 Captain Fantastic He really was on a roll, quite remarkable that he produced so much great music in a relatively short space of time.

I love them both equally and they couldn't be more different you wouldn't know it's the same artist. Only talking this week about the last time I saw him with the kids.... it was pre kids in that big top affair they used to hold July concerts in over at the King's dock in Liverpool.

Favourite album of the moment as good as anything I've heard in the last year or so.
