Should never have left, ferdinands being cunts, people may not like him but as a defender he is superb, commands and leads, very vocal, something which we need

He should 100% be playing alongside arguably Smalling and anyone who suggest otherwise is silly!

I agree that Terry should be considered for a recall but you can't help but feel a little for the defenders that have played the entire qualifying campaign only to watch one of them be dropped for Terry should he accept a recall.
In my mind he won't accept due to the bad blood between him and the FA.
Easily one of our best defenders and an actual natural leader more suited to the armband than Wayne Rooney.

Rubbish defender.
How he gets picked before Shawcross I'll never know. More anti Stoke bias from the useless Hodgson. I hope England get dicked in the Euro's now because I'm sick of this shit with England. The only team I give a fuck about is Stoke.

Terry has been found wanting this season and has lost pace and mobility . He's not even a good short term fix .

If this was the John Terry of 2 or 3 years ago, fair enough. But he's 35 and from what I've seen of him this season is showing his age. If Woy thinks his influence and leadership qualities might be good for the squad, how about approaching him with a view to taking him as a member of the coaching team?

I don't think you have to be a queen loving flag waver to want the England team to do well.
It's ok to support England as well as Stoke. You're not a traitor to Stan, the six towns and Ryan Shawcross if you support both.
Personally I find the vitriol toward England baffling. I didn't start supporting Stoke because I thought they'd win anything, or because I liked the players or manager, yet these are routinely used as reasons to not support the national team. How does that work? Only being there for the good times is gloryhunting isn't it?

If i did that at my work I would get instant dismissal and rightly so cant see how anyone can have sympathy for him. I know that footballers are not angels but I'm personally glad that he's not representing our country. There should be a line over which you don't cross.

You were supposed to take offence, that's why I called it you Here's the thing. I don't have a problem with England because they don't pick Shawcross (despite your earlier inference). I find it impossible to be enthusiastic about England because we never learn from our mistakes. Other countries make mistakes but then they learn from those fuck ups. Take Germany, Euro 2004. They made a number of mistakes, biggest of which was they relied on the old guard (now 2 years older) from World Cup 2002 to deliver another top performance. Subsequently, Germany failed at the group stages drawing with Latvia, who I believe might have been the lowest ranked team in the competition. What did they do? They had a mass clear out. The old guard (other than a few select individuals) were moved on, manager gone, they went in a whole new direction. They bedded in younger players (like Podolski and Schweinsteiger) and blended youthfulness with experience. World Cup 2006? Semi Final. Euro 2008? Final. World Cup 2010? Semi Final. Euro 2012? Semi Final. World Cup 2014? Winner. Germany made mistakes, but what they did was act upon those mistakes. Us? Nope. The English never learn from their mistakes. We make the same old trivial mistakes every tournament and never seem to learn. That's why we continue to fail, every single time.

The court found that he had definitely called Ferdinand a 'fucking black cunt' but couldn't prove beyond reasonable doubt his intentions. Terry had initially denied it. His employer decided to charge him on the basis of a preponderance of evidence. Two different burdens of proof involved. The FA didn't sack him, Terry resigned even before the verdict. Personally, if I found out one of my employees had called somebody that, I wouldn't be interested in quibbling about what they may or may not have meant either. They'd be out the door.

I'm really starting to warm to the new England of players and characters like Alli, Barkley, Vardy, Kane etc. Please don't destroy that optimism by recalling a twat like Terry.

Not really, we have picked some younger players yes, but we're still relying on old donkeys like Jagielka (who is well past it) and James Milner. We're also picking young players who aren't even playing regular football. The Germans picked players regardless of 'prestige'. Unfit injury prone players like Jack Wilshere, shouldn't be a shoe in for the England team. The Germans picked the best players for the squad, not average players playing for the best teams.

Are we 'relying on them'? They were part of the second string on Tuesday. I wouldn't pick either, but it's not like the team's built around them.

John Terry was part of a defense that gave one of the most miserable performances ever, or have we forgotten the world cup shambles of 2010 v Germany. Six years have elapsed and he hasn' t got any better. Any continental forward with mobility would toast him these days. There are no good centre halves in the squad with the exception of Smalling, and Terry won't improve it.
