Misty atleast half your post counts must be made up of threads you started! Great article though, definitely see the similarities. Like him and Toure had a baby.

Without wishing to boast (which is exactly what I'm now going to do ), I think you'll find that it was DaveJohnno1 who first likened him to Viera when watching this superb No.8 play against us in a Pre Season friendly. You really can't imagine how delighted I am (and impressed with myself ) that we've now signed him and in his first two games, he's looked every inch the player I thought he was when I first saw him play. This lad is quality and he's just going to get better and better. Enjoy him whilst we can because already, I get the feeling that he won't be here long. 2 years max probably. Next summer, I can see there being a huge clamour for his services.

He´s the real deal that´s for sure, I just hope we can hang onto him for a couple of years.
With the goal I loved the way he burst through them players and just knocked them out the way to get to the ball.
The very best players see the game a extra half a second before others and he has that.

Early signs are he is a step up from Nzonzi as well.
So it's taken a while to replace The Zonz but he seems to be an upgrade in every department

I actually think he's more a dembele type player possibly a little better but too early to call.

I didn't watch but heard some good stuff, he was supposedly available in the summer too, but would he have been better value then Imbula? Who knows.

He's getting on a bit now and he seems to be plagued with injuries, as daft as it sounds at the moment £18 million for Imbula is nothing.

The most impressive start any Stoke player has made in the premiership in my opinion .
Two games played ...two excellent performances.

There is one minor difference, Vierra cost £3.5m.

There is one minor difference, Vierra cost £3.5m. Yes he did, 20 years ago.

That's correct bm, just shows the massive inflation in the PL compared to the general economy.

Viera would be worth 50 million plus in today's market.

Possibly, which still shows the financial bubble that is the PL.

Can't see Imbula making tackles like Viera did
To be fair if he did he woudl be sent off every week
Still Imbula strides fowrad with skill, pace & sheer precence Still finding his way in this league He could dominate games next season

Considering we see many of the foreign imports struggle early on with the pace and intensity of the Prem. He has come in and looked like he has played in this league all his career. Yep its early days but he does look the real deal
