I think most fans want to see crouch playing more. got to feel sorry for the guy he was the first big name come stoke. playing odemwinge before him is a joke. come on hughes play him or let him finish his career somewhere else

I'm the first to respond but I don't want to see him playing more.

I hope that helps your poll.

Please sell Crouch as far as I'm concerned. Been a good servant and thanks for that but time for him to go.

He can go for me

At the moment, he's just loitering very uncomfortably around the outer edges and making no contribution.
And, as a 35-year-old on decent money, hard to see who that's helping?
He's obviously a good presence in the dressing room by all accounts, but can't see why Hughes is so vehemently against cutting ties with a player he seems to have decided is pretty much past it.

There's a strong case for playing him on Tuesday.
The false number 9 balls will get nowhere at Anfield.

I'm a bit torn on this one, because we now have wingers who could cross the ball into the box quite frequently. Right now we seem to limit our number of crosses too much. I can understand this when Bojan plays up front, but both Joselu and Walters are decent in the air. Despite this none of them are like Crouchy who will get his head on most of the decent crosses. I'm starting to belive we now have a team that could benefit Crouchy's strengths. So for me it's a play him or sell him! He deserves to play football somewhere, not rot on the bench! Maybe this team on Tuesday? Butland Johnson Shawcross (if fit) Wolly Pieters Whelan Afellay Shaq Joselu Arnie Crouchy

This aerial threat he offers has all but dissolved. He got muscled out of a high ball by Jordan Ibe in the first leg. There's no aerial threat, no pace, and his control isn't what it used to be.
I just don't understand why he's being used at all. Same goes for Odemwingie.

Liverpool will be bricking it when they see his snail like qualities on the pitch.

I saw their game yesterday but aside from being tall, the fact crouch couldn't fight his way out of a brown paper bag kind of makes me think he wouldn't cause them too many problems. Surely our biggest aerial threat with crosses flying into the box is diouf? 3 headed goals in his 7 starts this season. His continued omission is baffling

We need to play direct and whip in plenty of crosses with an out and out centre forward. That's why I feel there is an argument for Crouch playing a part. What we don't need is a false number 9 set up.

We need some pace from somewhere and an aerial threat in the box = Diouf not Crouch
We can not afford walking football against Liverpool. Pace on the wings and someone who can actually get in the box and try and win a header

His continued omission is baffling At last the blindingly obvious solution given what we have available. Diouf is decent in the air brings the pace we're sadly lacking and is our biggest nuisance to opposition defences. Play him centrally, don't hang him out to dry out wide or fook him off and buy someone with similar qualities who additionally has some footballing ability. I must be missing something with the Joselu love in, doesn't do a lot for me wanders too much and I've never been a fan of the tall mouse.

Joselu missed a golden opportunity that Crouch given the same chance would have scored.
Diouf whilst he will run all day offers nothing, he missed golden opportunities at West Ham.
i would play Crouch before the other Two any day of the week.
having said that, the front three will be Arnie, Bojan and Schaq.

I would play Crouch on Tuesday.
If Arnie isn't back I would play Afellay wide and bring Adam back.

Back to basics on Tuesdays for me, Shaq and Arnie on the wings and Bojan behind Joselu and i'd like Hughes to tell them to not shift about too much, not that formation will make much difference if they press high and force us to be untidy, we need Whelan and Afellay to be literally and figuratively on the ball on tuesday

For another team, completely ineffective now after this level!

In games where he can be a threat we should use him more , e.g at home to Liverpool and last week v Arsenal he is still a useful squad member who has not been used enough this season in my view

With Liverpool's defence all over the place on set pieces playing Crouch would be a good plan. Maybe even common sense
