This hook sounds familiar, from daft punk some other french house copyed it ? The track you are thinking of IS THIS TRACK! THis is from 97 on Yoshitoshi and was/is HUGE. THe only other track I know that has that hook is by Moodymann and its in this thread, I can't Kick this feelin (when it hits) Another HUGE record at that time released on Roule records out of France (Thomas Bangalter from DAft Punk owns Roule) was by an artist named Stardust: I've found it it was the Ian Pooley remix, but I had it listed as 'Ian Pooley - House Music' in my music collection. I think i'll just keep it named as that though (otherwise it will confuse me)

And then here's me moaning about straight up vocals in me House, and remember Dj Pierre gets hold of Christopher Monier. And they manage to elevate the roooof. Impulsion - The Trip remix.

Its 4:30 am theonlooker and I am still jaming records, I never quit. Cheesy might like this as well, odd release that FFRR did literally hours before they went defunct. A label that was always for jazz, revived for what they thought was electronica I guess, who knows lads, signed a Herbie Hancock remake and then went bust! Was a MAJOR label guys (FFRR -> Full Frequency Range Recordings)

I rock the dub^ above, but still an amazing cut in it's own right, considering this was released on Jive! records (a Hip Hop label for those who don't know) A tune I hadn't bothered with for nigh on 20 years there DJ. Sent me digging, to be honest it was the Air, Tribe Called Quest, and Mr. Scruff's more chilled out re-interpretations that sparked my interest in Crustation in the first place. And Freestylers junglist big beat vibe. Their track 'Purple' is the one that really floated me boat. Macclesfield's finest Mr. Sruff. I mentioned 16B previously. Omid 16B's 'Music From Another Room' is deep as house gets for me. He was a precursor for the music Bonobo is making now. Wring out the bass. Some interesting stuff was released pre-millenium '97. Remixers, producers etc. House, big beat, drum 'n' bass, techno, indie all having a mash up. Came across this, doesn't sound too far out of step with the minimal Riccardo & Luciano {RAL} munimal house of today. 16B & Deep Dish 'Falling' Keeps me on me toes. Not listened to it for years. Got a small stack to listen to nah. Eye Q and Hooj, Boys Own, X-press 2, Lionrock, and so on.

Producer, remixer, producing 'dance' music with live instruments. The thread has got me rooting around Looking for some MFF stuff.. Ended up with a pile to wade through. Found some stuff knocking around in the darker corners of the Cheeeslibrary. Tended to get dance albums/comps on CD, particular tracks on 12"'s for the remixes etc. Top few off the pile that'll be soundtracking the weekend: Swag Collected Works 95-98 Jeep Grrlz Buckled Pascal R Killing Toytronic compilation {an earlier post from Mr Meeseeks} Bumps & Dynamites a Pavlek Records compilation LCD System Sound of Silver I'll house ya. Swag Dark Corners {version 1.0}

If this is on the dancefloor, possibly it's the wrong house. Platforms on.

... and this renaissance tune, raised a smile. The start of Trance? Mother's Pride - Night Flight Skinnymalinky. Be Orbital next. Monster.
They are all close to becoming better suited to the 'vintage' thread.

Swag Dark Corners {version 1.0} Chris Duckenfield I love DIY records and DIGS AND WOOSH EDIT -- HE was booked at a festival Last time I was out in Croatia Dj'ing. He played the Hideout festival in Pula. I was playing the nights he was in a different club and we never met but I did write to him, we never met. But my mate from glasgow started a label during that time, so I got a promo he did back then for Bullet Dodge Records .. I have quite a few of his records Cheesy, going waaaaay back On a side note, I think Jus Traxx is Stacy Kidds label from Chicago is it not? I got a few of them, reminded me of delicious vinyl, they ripped it off (the logo) DOUBLE EDIT -- > re Jus traxx -- I think Paul Johnson has a lot to do with that label Cheesy as well and I am Throwing Dust Traxxx in the ring with this record, I swear they are the same labels from Chicago, its been years mate and they are defunct now
