What a big mistake getting rid of Huth was. There is no one to organise the back four when Ryan is off the pitch. Wolly only ever looks reasonably safe when Ryan is on but always worries me. I still don't understand why we bought him after his performance on his loan. Wilson is way out of his depth now so we should get him off the wages. Munie is very injury prone so cannot be relied on. We need another top quality centre back in this window even if Ryan's injury is short term. If it's long term without one we will end up in the lower half of the Prem after so much promise. Some will say Wolly has some really good games but if you are looking to improve the quality of team up front we need to secure the back first.

Quite possibly the biggest footballing mistake this club has ever made was getting rid of Robert Huth.
Dangerous during set pieces and an even better CB. And to add, we still, after 20 odd games have not scored from a fucking corner, THE ONLY FUCKING TEAM IN THE PREM!

Are you forgetting that Wolly has been on par with Ryan for the past 10 games and Huth WANTED to leave for regular first team football?

It's funny because his blind spot is relying on players when they're not performing and/or past their best.
Odem, Crouch and progressively Whelan.
Third winger and DM please.

Hughes one big mistake... Not bad considering ryan fit, but to just leave Wilson... We need a proper CB.

He wanted to go. He didn't fit the style of football MH wanted. "I still don't understand why we bought him after his performance on his loan." Maybe he's been proved right though given how bloody good Wooly's been this season?

Are you forgetting that Wolly has been on par with Ryan for the past 10 games and Huth WANTED to leave for regular first team football? Hughes probably wanted Huth to stay for this exact reason, but Huth wanted to play first team and sought a move for exactly that reason. Do we need to buy a centrehalf THIS window now ??

HE WANTED TO LEAVES FOR FIRST TEAM FOOTBALL
What were we meant to do? Shackle his balls to a radiator at Clayton Wood?

It didn't matter where Huth went, getting rid of him was categorically a mistake. I don't mind Wollsheid either.

Didn't think it would take people long to start sucking Huth off.
Paul Williams and Peter Handyside could've kept us out today.

Sparky has just had a Valencia moment for me today.
Game lost before it started and I can't see anything improving on Tuesday night.
Terrible day for Stoke all round.

Leicester's defence has been so bad this season Ranieri has bought them pizza whenever they've kept a clean sheet.
I didn't see many singing his praises when he and Wes Morgan let Walters in to score in the reverse fixture?

Woolly's 10 games looking half decent were along side Ryan. Be fore Ryan came back from injury we had the same issues as today. We need a quality centre back, one who can also lead if Ryan is injured.

HE WANTED TO LEAVES FOR FIRST TEAM FOOTBALL What were we meant to do? Shackle his balls to a radiator at Clayton Wood? I'm pretty certain he could rip the radiator off the wall and then play with it attached to his balls. I wanted Huth to stay and felt he was still plenty good enough for first XI but Hughes disagreed and frankly he's made enough bloody good decisions that if this one was a mistake then he's still got loads of credit with me

What a fucking massive knee jerk reaction. Part of one of the leakiest defences in the league till recently, should've given away a pen in one of the matches I was watching not so long ago and wouldn't fit into our system in the slightest. Selling him and signing Wolly for the same price was one of the best bits of business this club has ever done

Matthews and Greenhoff were worse than letting Huth go and I could name many more but you get the picture. Well said! Huth wouldn't suit our current style of play, which I know got us nowhere today but ... (Just check out his free kick in the last 10 minutes if you need further proof). Good defender but gone now, so just let it go.
