had a bit of bad luck lately, been sacked and had my motorbike nicked but depression hasn't set in on me which is strange considering the circumstances, but that goes to show you can have the life of riley and be depressed it's a strange illness. Had any luck mate on the job front??
Or caught the light fingered tosser?

It all depends on the knock ons of you losing a job I suppose. if you were to get another reasonably quick then its tickety boo but if it takes time and you start falling behind with bills etc then the worries creep in. Doesn't help that you cant get jack in terms of claiming if you lose a job through misconduct. Although I must admit last time I was out of work, I used savings rather than suffer the bullshit from the DWP!!!
Sorry about your run of luck mate, hope you land something soon - at the very least companies start taking on now in preparation for xmas (there's loads of warehouse work about as it is - not great money but its a wage at least). Totaljobs is a good website; got shedloads on there.
And I hope you find the t-leaf & give him a good hiding!!!!!!
warehouse work is what I'm trying to avoid, hate it with a passion, treat you like slaves for pittance, not found my bike no sadly!

Sorry about the bike mate!!
At least, its a wage mate. Ive always looked in offices, have now found something outside that environment, believe me, I never want to work in an office again. Offices are only any good for if you rise to management and I just didn't have the confidence in me for that. Probably had the ability but I wasn't full of myself and wasn't willing to play all the politics. My loss in the end. But you move on.

I had one or two office experiences and it put me off for life. Most of the time now I work miles away from anyone either on my own or with a very small number of people who I really appreciate, and I thank my lucky stars every day that I ended up in this situation.

Ive always fancied something like a remote Antarctic station; a bit like The Thing (just minus the shapeshifting alien)
All that bleakness, snow & ice; As long as I had my movies & music at hand in the evenings, and some decent beer & food too, I think I would be in my element

No mate. I keep imagining that people on the main board are calling for the return (again) of Tony Pulis. Now I know that this can't be real because it's so fucking out there. So basically I think I must be imagining things. Am I suffering from paranoid delusions? Do I need to go to the doctor's?!

I hope your dad has a great day Chuffed. Back home now and he's had a brilliant time. Alert as ever and forthright on his opinion of the referee. Considering what he's seen over the years this still gets his emotions going. Still a Potter.

That's great! He's got us up for a draw tomorrow. He can't do away games any more, I'm hoping he's right. PS; At 90 he says he hasn't got time to be depressed. There's a philosophical take on things.

I'm the same. At 54 and still have both parents you almost forget your own age. I know that they aren't invincible but while I can still get him to the occasional match it's worth every penny, win lose or draw. Although as he said at the West Brom game, "a win would be good for a change".

I suffer from time to time and a long time ago was recommended the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Ive be re reading bits of it on and off for 8 years. Its a bit new age at times but the main tenent of it is mindfulness, and i take from it what i need and leave the rest

A positive on the horizon. This coming Saturday I'm meeting with my 24 year old son who I haven't seen for 6 years. A lot has happened and lots of catching up to be done. All squeezed into an afternoon. It's a start.
