3-0 Chelsea Costa, all Willian's work, been there best player this season by a country mile, looked the only real threat when they came to the Brit.

I've thought through Chelsea's poor run that they will eventually turn it around and finish top 5, they will defo finish above us, they have too much quality in their side.

A couple more should put Pardew in his little box for a while.

Eric Lamela there, stupidly giving the referee an excuse to send him off.
Oh, hang on a minute.

Raised hand straight to the face = yellow card
Geoff being a pal with an impromptu shoulder rub = red card

Surely all we have to do now is to ask why Erik Lamela's almost identical offence at Everton this afternoon is deemed to be only a yellow card?
No pundits or commentator even mentioning the possibility of a red card being shown.

Referee - Michael Oliver, the "man" who sent off Afellay!

We could do without Everton sneaking this one, we go bottom half again if they do and they have hardly had a kick so far.

Five words... "You can't raise your hands" ... apparently. It's a ridiculous double standard and should be exposed as such.

You can bet if Everton don't win this Martinez will blame the ref for something!!.

Words escape me. I do not think we can succefully appeal TheCameron sending off, as the powers that be will insist on judging individual cases.
However from a general overview it may be an ideal opportunity to address the obvious inconsistencies that seem to be more frequently occurring with this current regime of Refferees.

Referee - Michael Oliver, the "man" who sent off Afellay! ...and awarded a penalty against Ryan for grappling, and shock horror never repeated the trick since.

I agree and am watching the match but as we know the ref has acted on what he saw and dealt with it so here ends that. I really hope we do appeal and use this as evidence in our case.

It's almost beyond words.
1) On the same weekend that Cameron is shown a red.
2) By the same referee who sent off Afellay for an almost identical incident.
Staggering.

It's this sort of inconsistency which nearly always goes against us. No wonder we seem to feel like we moan all the time about referees awful decisions. It's not just about the bad decisions and missing players for games after the red card, it's also about the points it costs us. It really does make my piss boil.

There is a level of consistency along the lines of - if it's Stoke (or similar) go for it, if it's a higher profile club be careful you could get a lot of unwanted scrutiny. It's never going to change so we should learn to operate within those boundaries.

Geoff's red will be rescinded. No it won't. Well we present both incidences to the FA and if they fail to rescind the red we demand they take action on an incompetent ref and see how they react to that!

Im pretty sure that I doesnt work like that , I vaguely remember Malcolm Clarke saying (could of been someone else) that the panel will only judge a incident on its merits and comparisons on similar incidents aren't considered !

Yes if appealed it will go to an independent panel but we could still kick up a stink and demand to know why 2 similar incidents get very different punishments when they should all be using the same rule book!
