For me no change of players {if fit}or formation I am 56 and I have to say that first half was one of the best stoke performance I have seen, the second half was not bad either

Could be a really good game next week. I think so too. Their defence will probably provide a sterner test than Citeh's yesterday and, assuming we start with the same XI, could put our new formation under greater scrutiny. Payet is clearly a big loss for them though.

None of the starting XI deserve to be dropped at all.

Can't change the team after that performance imo. I also think a midfield two of Cameron and Whelan is tailor made for playing away from home to let the 4 in front of them express themselves. I reckon we'll win..

Unchanged for me. I'm not convinced that this system will be any better at breaking down very defensive teams, but it should work away from home when the onus is on the opposition to get out more.

If you have defensive stability it gives you so much more scope to go with the adventurous option up top. The added depth that a combination of Cameron and Whelan gives us means that he won't be frightened of sticking with yesterday's combination in attack but with plenty of options on the bench to change things if everything doesn't click like it did. Let us prey that it stays this way for a while and injuries / suspensions don't bite too deeply.

Definitely should keep the same team/formation, the understanding between the front 4 was second to none yesterday, they looked like they'd been playing together for years and i can't see sparky daring to mess with it
Yes Man City were shit but there's no preparing for that type of formation, i heard someone say yesterday that the types of runs Arnie made from out wide are almost impossible to defend against and with someone like Shaqiri who can summon up a worldy pass from out of nowhere and it's a recipe for success
Playing a standard team in a standard formation is much easier to prepare for, make sure the attacker has always got his back to you and mark the number 10 out the game, simplifying it but that's basically it, what we had yesterday is both Shaqiri and Bojan dictating play and Arnie making the runs and i'm pretty sure that Shaqiri would rather play with that freedom than be a traditional winger

Great time to play West Ham. There a good side but much weakened with thier injury list including Moses. Ryan will take of Christmas Carol and they havent got much else up front.

Will be memorable for being our last ever trip to Upton Park. I have been there maybe a dozen times since the early 80's, the days of battling your way past the National Front newspaper salesman and a major infiltration of the away support by the ICF as well as all the wonderful pubs and food outlets in the vicinity may be gone but it still maintains just about enough frisson to make it a memorable experience. Somehow an afternoon in a repurposed athletics stadium in the arse end of Stratford with nothing but a Westfield Shopping Center for company isn't going to quite cut it for me

They have quite a few key players out injured. If we turn in a performance like we did at Southampton or Swansea (technically similar standard of opposition, despite the latter's current woes) we will have a good chance of three points.

I'd love us to get a result from this however we are very inconsistant so who knows what will happen. They are weakened with Sakho, Payet and Moses likely to be missing however we need to be bang on our game to get a result. Memories of the Sunderland game have left me feeling a little cautious.

I fancy us in this one. It's kind of like Southampton where they are just starting to lose it a little after a previous good run.
Actually it's the poorer teams of the league we need to get better against. We're similar to how Chelsea were before Russian money, compete with the top clubs but throw away silly points against the lower ones, but nowadays there's a more stupidly rich club's to challenge against so 4th or 5th is (probably) out of the question .
