Lousy luck picking up an injury tonight but I just have this nagging feeling, hope this won;t turn out to be true but I just wonder if that could be the last we see of him?

He's been a cracking servant. If we can get cash in Jan I'd let him go.

Can't see him getting much game time until The FA Cup comes around.

Looked like his hamstring He took a hefty kick on the thigh so I don't think it was a hamstring problem.

Crouch has been superb since he joined us. You just can't fault the lad. The injury looked pretty serious but hopefully he'll be OK and not suffer a lengthy time out injured.

He probably has one last transfer in him. If that opportunity arises in January and the stars are aligned it might be time to say farewell. But hamstrings are devious bastards. He might be in no state to join anyone if it isn't mended.

I'd like him to stay on and be an ambassador for the club, maybe even a youth coach. He seems a top bloke and I just think he could teach others a lot. Set up with a nice family pad in Cheshire, what more could he want. Would it really be worth one last fling when, in my opinion, he's would finish his career as a success with us? Mind you, I wanted Rory to do the same

I hope that if the worst comes true and he is long term injured he decides to call it a day. I'd really hate to see him drop down a league, and lets face it, he hardly needs the dough. Concentrate on your after footy career and concentrate on your family. YOU SIR HAVE BEEN AWESOME...

I want him to stay, and get his 100 premier league goals for us.

Be sad to see him just fade away and leave - he's been a huge player for us and made that £10m fee look like a bargain.
Hopefully we will see him again in the red and white stripes again.

If we can secure the signing of another quality striker (Austin please) I'd let him, Oddie and Walters go in January. Gouranga.

Where was his op in the summer?
He started off holding his hamstring but ended up holding his hip area?

Its a shame but have to agree, I think the injury will be a 4 week or so lay off that will take us in January, I think he could well leave for someone like Sheffield Wednesday (ironically) on loan and leave at the end of the season. If a new striker comes in then I would imagine Odem will also go

I hope he stays and we offer him a coaching role or an ambassadorial role as he and his Mrs are great for our club.
If he wants to play some where else then he would go with our best wishes and fond memories for the job, publicity and the goals he has scored.

Where was his op in the summer? He started off holding his hamstring but ended up holding his hip area? He had a groin op in summer, there was an infection and he ended up in hospital for ten days on intravenous antibiotics. It knocked him about and has contributed to his patchy early season start. I saw the C5 highlights which confirms he holds his hamstring, {at the match I thought he'd had a crack on the shin}. Talked of a hamstring tweak, not a tear. On a wider note in the same interview Crouchy said he wanted to play Premiership football for as long as he can, and then have a go abroad {America was mentioned.}

We have a lot of games coming up. Don't think we have seen the last of him. Winner in the Cup final would cap a fine career. Europe next season,we would need and use a big squad.

I thought he looked quite sharp last night until he got the injusy Without wanting to be a dick about it, he was caught offside within the first minute and the injury action was the third thing he did in the game following an attempted cross. He didn't have time to make an impact at all really.

Certainly no way to end his time with us, I'd rather him have gone in close season and left us after his icing on the cake record breaking header against the victims on the "day of the 6-1" Agree he can do a job in the cups
Here's an omen- Eastham the wise old man of the leage cup winning team scored in the final aged 35, the same age two metre peter will be next month

It's bad news. You don't mess around with hamstrings. At his age this could be the beginning of the end.

Do you think because his hamstrings are bigger then everyone elses' they take longer to heal?

Smashing fella but a wage wasted, I'd rather add his salary to a few bob and buy someone younger, quicker and bloody ace tbh. Just plain wrong fella Talking to a Liverpool man just this very morning who, apart from having more than 'half a brain' - wished they'd never sold him and, still rated him very highly right now just a classic sterrotypical S.O.T 'medieval, in the valley - cant handle paying top wages to a top player' kind of comment such thinking lets our club down - and consigns Stoke City to always be : 'little people'
