I loved it at the end when he took off his shirt (or jersey as he probably calls it) and revealed the merino wool base layer with "up yours bayern" printed on it! ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/wMWjB17JNiCK5pUPtfmL.gif)

I'm still not 100% sold on Geoff in a midfield role to be quite honest.
A, and probably only, gripe I have with Cameron is his positional awareness when we're on the ball as I think he sometimes has a tendency to wander off and be caught out a little bit when we lose possession.
That said; he has all the athleticism in the world, has this weird ability to stroll out of tackles with the ball and actually has a decent pass on him (as long as it's not with the outside of his boot..).
He's also been fantastic in the past couple of matches, so I think and hope Hughes will continue with him there. I'm just not 100% convinced he's the answer there just yet.

I've been saying it for so long. Too many posters have wrongly criticised him. Some have even stated he's not a footballer. I'd imagine they'll just go very quiet now instead of holding their hands up. Over the last few seasons Whelan, Cameron, Walters, Wilson and several others have all been labelled (by some) as "not good enough". In reality we are blessed with a squad of depth and quality. I think we've been so spoiled by the quality of player in our squad since promotion that we've started to take certain players for granted.

He was dogged and determined alongside Whelan off the ball and very capable with it.
Definite starter in that role for me with Glenn and Affellay alongside.

The best thing about Cameron in midfield, is his ability to run with the ball. The fact that both Cameron and Affellay were more than capable of dribbling the ball around the opposition from central midfield positions should not be underestimated when analysing why the golden boys were able to play with so much space and freedom. The same was true, obviously to less effect, when we played with 9 men for so long v West Brom earlier in the season. Muniesa, Cameron, Arnie, Johnson, MVG etc all had the ability to run with the ball, dribble in tight spaces and negate the fact that we had only 9 men, opening up WBA in the process. It was the only way we could compete but compete we did. Cameron has been largely excellent this season when he's featured be that at centre half or midfield. It's great to see. In fact, I would go as far as to say his improvement is all down to my boy. He was mascot v Leicester and walked out with Cameron. He obviously passed on some of his magic to Geoff! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)

Another brilliant performance in midfield until his injury. I hope it's not too serious because he's oh so important to us at the moment.
Any news on his injury in terms of what it was? Nothing was said on the stream I was watching.

Was brilliant today, that flick reverse was barcaesque. Looked like a light pull on something after that 50/50 he won the free kick for. Should be good hopefully he didn't look like in much pain. He's so important to the midfield with Adam showing up like that.

No idea on the injury though.

I think he gives us the extra dimension through the middle that not every team has but every team wants - the ability to drive with the ball and open up space. Basically, the player Van Ginkel could and should and possibly will be (given time).

He does, his ability to drive forward like a gazelle is needed behind a Bojan type player and when he does venture forward he's a good setup man on the edge of the 18.

It was a shocking challenge on Cameron that not surprisingly took him out of the game.
Did marriner brandish a card?

Anything he does in midfield is proving me right. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) He's always clearly been a midfielder, I've said that from the off. He's not a defender. We still need someone who is better though but for now he'll do, he's much more what we need than Adam.

You didn't need to be a genius to see it, that was always part of the annoying thing about his spells at the back and not in midfield.

I'd sell him now. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) Or Wilson. We still don't need both. Having Cameron playing there just emphasises the mess we made of trying to find a replacement for N'Zonzi.
