And the far left is now at the head of the Labour Party. Exactly Just been out walking the dog listening to this week's Any Questions. Very interesting to hear Margaret Becket's views on her party. She ain't happy. And she ain't happy because she's been around and she knows what is happening under Corbyn; the return of the non-democratic militant left.

Mot really, Corbyn and McDonnell are committed to democratic parliamentary politics, I'd hardly call that Far Anything...? They're on the moderate pragmatic Left for sure but no further Left than the GLC in the 1980s for example or the Attlee government after the war. We just got so used to the parliamnetary Labour party being Right of centre for the past nearly 20 years.

I'm pretty sure Attlee never had tea and biscuits with the IRA or an equivalent enemy of the state but that's Jez and John for you dead against bombs unless they're blowing up british people.

From the Guardian; Corbyn poised to move Hilary Benn in high-stakes reshuffleThis makes sense - he needs a consistent voice from his cabinet on defence and foreign affairs. Maria Eagle is also for the chop it seems. Although it makes a mockery of his freedom of views mantra. But at what price?

The left are all for freedom of speech as long as they agree with what you're saying.
